Cornerstone Farm Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #15 of 23 Gettysburg B&B and Inns
Reviewed 13 May 2013

I booked this B & B to surprise my wife on our wedding day. Allie made special arrangements so we could arrive in the evening. One of my major concerns was making sure that there was no strawberries or dairy to be served in our breakfast due to my wife's allergies. She assured me there would be no problem in that. When we arrived there was a lantern lit outside and the main room had the fireplace lit and Allie took us for a tour of the house. She showed us how to use the fireplaces (main room, and our room Lincoln).

Sunday morning Daniel made us a wonderful breakfast I'm sorry to say it was so good by the time we thought of taking a picture of it we had it all eaten. We wouldn't make that mistake Monday morning. We had toast topped with asparagus, sliced cherry tomatoes, mint leaves, and poached eggs. Oh my god this was so yummy. The cranberry juice was refreshing. The fruit each day was delicious and fresh. The apple puff pastry and cherry cobbler was unbelievable.

While sitting at the table Sunday morning Allie took time out of her schedule to find us a church that we could go to. We booked a horseback tour from the farm as well. John showed us before we started how to handle these specific horses. This was the first time I ever been on a horse and I absolutely loved it. Gambler made me look like a pro. She was very calm as were the rest of the horses on the battlefield tour. Our park guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. We been to Gettysburg numerous times but this tour gives you a whole knew perspective.

This B&B is out of the busy inner town of Gettysburg but close enough to enjoy it after a few minute drive. In the evenings it is so peaceful sitting outside watching the birds and rabbits. You can't help but to feel relaxed there.

As we were leaving the place Allie took pictures of us inside and outside the place. John and Allie wished us a safe journey back home.

Absolutely beautiful place. Owners were the most friendliest and welcoming people. Chef Daniel made fabulous breakfasts. The rooms were peaceful and romantic. The horses were well tame and welcoming of a pat on their nose. We would go there again in a heartbeat!!!

My wife and I just returned from our anniversary trip to the east coast. We decided to stay at a B&B in Ghettysburg. I found Cornerstone while looking for a horse back tour, while unable to do the tour because a recent surgery we stayed at the B&B. We were met and greeted at the door, the owners were very welcoming and friendly. The living room was warm and inviting, and the room (Lincoln room) was amazing, we had a beautiful view and the private balcony made it so nice to enjoy the evening. The bed was comfortable and made it so easy to fall asleep. We ate at the Dobbins house restaurant at the suggestion of the owners. We were the only people staying at the house, and it felt like we were staying at a friends house. The breakfast was amazing, and more than enough coffee to go around. The property is about 5 minutes out of town so it is quiet, but close enough that it doesn't take long to get to town. The chief and food were amazing, we will be back to stay here again. Friendly staff, beautiful property made this a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: We were able to look at a few of the rooms, all are great choices, the balcony attached to the Linco...

This small bed and breakfast is BIG on charm and personal attention! The owner met us at the door, gave us a nice tour and some history on the property and the local area, then was happy to recommend a place for dinner. Our room was lovely and very peaceful. The next morning, breakfast was delicious and the other 3 couples staying at the B&B provided great conversation prior to our horseback riding adventure...also arranged through Cornerstone Farm. As a military family, we don't get away too much, but this B&B made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable, making for a romantic and charming weekend in Gettysburg. Thanks so much!

Room Tip: We stayed in the only first floor room, the Sunrise Room.

We had a wonderful time at the Bed and Breakfast, we were greeted by the owner when we pulled in. Given a tour of the home. It felt like home, the house was just beautiful. The food was cooked perfectly and just wonderful. We had a wonderful time, I would reccomend this B And B to anyone that wants to relax without all the hussel and bussel of a town. Enjoy watching the nature outside on a farm by sitting on the large deck. What a view of Gettysburg. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor, just loved it. The second floor rooms had a deck to look out, that looke...

Cornerstone is the best kept secret in Gettysburg. It's a wonderfully quite elegent retreat from the busy downtown, yet still only a short drive to the battleground, shopping and attractions. The house is beautiful and our hosts delightful. Our first evening we enjoyed wine and chesse on the deck overlooking the beautiful back pasture at sunset. It was such a nice way to unwind from theday and get into the peaceful feel of Cornerstone. Cornerstone is a five star accomidation with large rooms and a beautiful graciously designed interior. It was so nice to wake up to a view of the mountains in the distance, the vast grounds with beautiful fall flowers and pasture for their 14 horses. It's really a quite time to restore the soul. Breakfast was better than any I'd ever had in any B&B anywhere. We booked horseback ride on Cornerstone horses and were delighted with our guide Andie. You will not be disappointed in any way at Cornerstone.

Room Tip: We really liked the Western Room
