“Nice hotel, in the square”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

Nice hotel in the center of town. Clean, comfortable rooms, although street notice can be an issue to some. The reason this is getting a three instead of four star is for their reservations. I am one of those who check the travel sites , the actual hotel site, and then I call to see if there are any specials or discounts available. When I called, the women said there was a two night min stay. I guess she couldn't check her own website to see that you can book one night! Check in was swift, room was ready, clean, with a fridge and coffee maker. We did have a jr suite, and both rooms were nice size. Overall, not the best, but worth it.

Room Tip: Rooms are a bit noisy,

We were excited to get there at what we thought was check in time. But apparently we were early. The Asian woman at the front desk was borderline rude and unfriendly: just told us to comeback at four. Not a great first impression!
When we did finally check in (with a nicer woman) we found that you drive behind the building to a little alley where you unload your stuff on the curb, then go park the car in garage next door. Parking is an extra fee. Then we went hunting for our room.
That was not fun, as it turns out that a room that starts with a 700 number (ex 718) is actually in the connected annex above the ballroom! And to be more confusing it is on the second floor!
Finally we found it after riding up and down in the original building elevator which only has six floors!
The room was huge for two queen beds! There was a window the length of the wall, but the view is of the brick wall next door and the ugly roof next door! It appears as though these rooms were carved out of maybe what were conference rooms? Super high ceilings but the room itself did not have any historical era charm. It is very nicely decorated and easily had room for more furniture. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and it was pretty quiet at night save for stray motorcycle noise.
The place is centrally located in the village and was great for an evening stroll.
I would stay again but avoid that check in woman. And I would have liked to know if the main hotel area rooms had more charm.
There is a pool on the roof and it is not that fancy but was a nice place to cool off and watch the sunset!

The rooms are okay, nothing fantastic, but the location can't be beat. I stay in this hotel once a year in the fall and it's always a great time, most restaurants/bars in town are within a 5 minute walk. A huge negative for me is the price, I have a hard time paying $300 a night for hotel in Gettysburg PA.

This hotel in the center of Gettysburgh is very nice as its location. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded at no charge at check in to a large king room. It was a corner room facing the road but the traffic was not problematic to us.
The room had a fireplace and was very clean.
I liked the fact that it had an outdoor pool. While my husband was touring more battlefields in the afternoon, I was able to soak up some sun and read! Loved to be able to walk to dinner and walk to shops. Would rather walk if possible than get in car and drive.
Very good value.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. The room was large, clean, bright and comfortable. Super location, close to restaurants and shops. Staff was helpful, friendly and well informed. Would stay here again and again.

Room Tip: ask to be overlooking the circle.

The hotel's location was ideal, as we were able to walk just about everywhere. The room was clean and met our needs (we stayed in a king suite with 4 adults and 2 kids). The suite had 2 bedrooms and a central living/sleeping area that we used for the kids. It really was a perfect set-up for our family. Minimal gripes: The rooftop pool was just ok...I believe we all had grand images, and it was just very average (large, rubbermaid trash/towel cans, etc..). A final word, plan to spend a lot if you're going to have any meal at the hotel. No complimentary breakfast here, and "One Lincoln" is very pricey. There are plenty of options in town, however, so it really didn't impact us much. All-in-all, our stay was terrific, and we would likely stay there again.

Hotel was very nice. Front desk not very friendly. Felt like asking them info was a bother to them. Love the way the bathroom is seperated, shower and stool in one room, sink separate area. Great for family to get ready quickly. Room was kind of small but very nice. Very clean, loud a/c but never heard outside or other room sounds.
