My husband and I spent two nights at this lovely B&B. The location is great and the owners and staff are very welcoming. The room was perfect, with a clawfoot tub and firm mattress, (The Georgia Room) and the breakfast great. The gardens are beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed eating there each morning. The owners arranged a private tour of the battlegrounds that was stellar. The B&B is located within walking distance of good restaurants and ghost walks. We will surely return.

Thanks for the review - we greatly appreciate that you took the time to write it. It's especially important to us because you are discerning travelers. It was a good choice to take the Battlefield tour with a licensed guide - we wish more guests would do this. It's best to book the guide ahead, either through us or the National Park Service - 'stellar' as you say!
We're very pleased that you hope to return - it would be great to see you again.
Our best wishes, Tessa and Brian

This was our first trip to Gettysburg. After much research, we decided to stay in one of the town's B & B's, and we are so glad that we chose the Brickhouse Inn. The Brickhouse Inn is top notch. We could not have asked for more. It was like being "home". The accomodations were beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. The gardens magnificent. The breakfasts on the garden patio were absolutely delicious, as well as the treats that were waiting for us after a long day of touring. Tessa and Brian made this trip so easy for us. We purchased one of their "packages" and they made all the arrangements for our tours and dinner reservations. We didn't have to lift a finger. This was by far one of the best vacations that we have had in a very long time. We will definitely be back.

Thank you for coming to spend a vacation with us. We feel very privileged that you chose us, and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. It's always good to know that a 'package' was successful - our aim is to make it easier for guests, by having the tickets ready on arrival, and the tours booked.
Thanks so much for writing the review. We very much enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again one day.
Take care, and best wishes,
Tessa and Brian

We have visited Gettysburg many times, however the Brickhouse Inn ranks at the top of our list. We certainly echo many of the thoughts in recent reviews. The location is convenient to just about anything you might wish to do within walking distance. Baltimore Street is steeped in Civil War history and the Inn places you in the center of the action. We arrived during a week-long heat wave and really appreciated the cool shade and beautiful landscaping of the property. Breakfast was served outside which was wonderful despite the warm temperatures. Our room was spotless, the bed very comfortable for a great night's rest. Our hosts made sure all questions were answered- we appreciated Brian taking some time to chat at breakfast time and will follow-up on his reading recommendations for sure! Denise W

Room Tip: Front rooms will have traffic noise since you are close to an intersection.

Our review is quite repetitive of so many prior reviews: perfect location, historically connected (very special to sit on your own private balcony and see and touch bullet marks on the brick wall that were the result of the battle), spotlessly clean, marvelous breakfasts, and mostly importantly, a host and hostess (Brian and Tessa) that were so charming, knowledgeable and helpful. Would not think of staying anywhere else. Two Thumbs Up!

Room Tip: We loved the Kentucky Suite

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We so much enjoyed meeting you and talking to you. We hope your whole trip went well and we were privileged that you chose to stay with us for part of it. It was a pity that you struck such a hot spell, especially as you come from the region of almost perfect temperatures. We would very much like to see you again, whether here or in California. Our best wishes, from Tessa and Brian

Our first trip to Gettysburg and we were thrilled with the accommodations and service at the Brickhouse Inn. We picked it (out of many places to stay) after exploring the Internet for a good location that was convenient to the battlefield and restaurants, etc. Not knowing what to expect, we were delighted!! Brian and Tessa are the most gracious of hosts, the breakfasts are superb, and the garden, grounds and accommodations are impeccable yet comfortable and inviting. It was the perfect escape to come back to (and reflect) after a long day spent in one of the most solemn, deeply moving sites in our history.

Room Tip: The Carriage House was great!- Quiet and off the busy street.

Found the Brickhouse Inn on Internet and liked the reviews and descriptions so we went for it. To me this place is like when I find a recipe that looks so good and then you give it a try. Sometimes the recipe doesn't live up to the expectations and other times you say, wow that's a keeper. Well the Brickhouse Inn is like that awesome recipe. It is a hit, a keeper, and worth going back to. We are already hoping to set up a fall weekend! You won't be disappointed in the accommodations, staff, food. It was wonderful!

We stayed at the Brickhouse in for two nights. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Melanie and Brian and after settling in went into the town. The location is perfect to do some shopping and is close to the battlefield. The room was very clean but as mentioned before the airconditioning was a little bit loud. At night I turned it off and turned on the ceiling fan instead. Breakfast was delicious. A guided tour wasn't available at the moment so Brian offered an audio tour and a map to use during our visit to the battlefield. The battlefield was very impressive. We enjoyed the hospitality very much. Thank you for a lovely stay!
