Brickhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast

Great B&B, hosts are very pleasant, location is perfect and the ambiance of the lodging is fantastic. Highly recommend this place for central Gettysburg, walking distance to everything. There are plenty of food options nearby, shopping and of course attractions. On a busy, noisy street, but for me that works for people watching and sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch. Will come back!

Room Tip: On a busy street but the interior is quiet. If you need absolute quiet, choose a back bedroom.

Well... once again we just spent five of the most awesome days, in Gettysburg, at the "BEST" place to stay, that you could possibly think of .... the Brickhouse Inn, B&B...( our home, away from home )
We have stayed here every year since 2003.... There is ..... NO other choice for us... Tess, Brian, Mel, Amy, & the entire staff are beyond compare... The rooms are immaculate, and furnished in period... New and quiet air conditioners have been installed, in all the rooms...( with remotes ) !!!
The breakfasts are outstanding... even to include "Breakfast Dessert"...!!!! ( best in town )...
The location is right in the center of everything ...!!! Walk to the battlefield, shopping, the best restaurants in Gettysburg...Parking in their own off street parking lot, behind the B&B...!!! There is nothing left to want ....
So..... after a long day in the field, it's so nice, to come home for tea, lemonade, cookies, cakes... or a chilled bottle of wine, & relax and sit on the porches, in a high back rocking chair..the rest of the evening ...!!!! ( ....and did I mention, we even got married in the garden, in the rear... next to the fish pond / fountain ....)

Room Tip: Any room you choose, is the "BEST"....!!!!

Loved our hosts, the accommodations, location and food served. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the afternoon treats were awesome also met some other great couples while staying here.

They took very good care of us. Everyone we met had stayed before and keep coming back. We will stay here our next time back.

We have never stayed at a B&B before until we stayed here over the week of July 4th 2014. We loved it! The location was fantastic and the inn was very well maintained. The 3 course breakfast everyday was excellent. Brian, Tessa and the staff really pay attention to detail! I would highly recommend the Brickhouse to everyone. We stayed in the Virginia room for 5 nights. It is the smallest room in the house, but my husband and I were very comfortable. We will be back!

Three couples stayed recently at the Brickhouse Inn, and it was an excellent experience-- real immersion in old Gettysburg. The rooms are immaculate and well furnished, with places to sit (that's a must, we think) as well as to sleep. Bathrooms are of course old-fashioned, with claw-foot tubs that you have to climb into and out of, tho' one room does have a step-in shower. Our room did have an odor of very old/musty wood-- but the house was there during the Battle of Gettysburg, so we just decided it added to the authenticity. The back patio gardens-- with lots of tables and chairs-- are perfect for breakfasting or just relaxing. The hosts' hospitality is remarkable-- they are warm and welcoming, and will do whatever it takes to make their guests' stays pleasant. Can't say enough about the location, either-- right in the heart of things, All of us highly recommend Brickhouse!

We were escaping the NJ hurricane that almost ruined our vacation from Ohio when Brian and Tess saved us by allowing us to stay in their property called The Culp House!!! The house is GORGEOUS! It's private and serene. They even allowed us to come to The Brickhouse Inn for Tess's amazing breakfast! I would pay double to be at any one of their properties! We expected to be laying on a hot beach in NJ but quite frankly, I'm glad our trip there was ruined because I've had such a blast and got to meet two wonderful people!! I'll be bringing my children here!!!

My wife and I absolutely love Gettysburg and our favorite place to stay is the Brickhouse inn.
Right in the near center of anything you want to do in town and actually just a 3 minute walk to parts of the battlefield. The owners/hosts are always friendly and helpful , the rooms are very nice and always spotless. The breakfasts are also to die for.
Plus its always cool to be in a room that was used by sharpshooters during the fight.
