Enjoyed our stay at the brickhouse - it was well run and clean - the food was great. The total experience was first class.

we just got back from a short (one-night) stay here, but we'd like to come back soon. Our suite (the Kentucky Suite) was two lovely rooms on the second floor of the welty house, next door to the main building; we had a small balcony that overlooked the garden. Breakfast was ample, and very good. The innkeeper gave us some good suggestions about touring the battlefield, and also a great restaurant recommendation - "j's at the Village" - a short walk away. My only quibble - a reading lamp and nightstand only on one side of the bed.

I've been staying at B&B's for the last 7 years and the Brickhouse Inn was, by far, the best B&B I've stayed at. The Inn keepers, Brian and Tess, were wonderful. The Inn was clean, very cozy and very inviting. The food was excellent and they were very happy to accommodate our request for extra bacon and also for two extra quest for Saturday morning breakfast. I simply can't say enough good things about our host or the Inn. We can't wait to go back in July.

After staying in over 15 B&B's since 2000, my wife and I have had the opportunity to stay at some superb inns. Our stay this past week at the Brickhouse Inn truly is right there at the top now! Brian and Tessa were so very gracious, attending to our every need. We stayed in the North Carolina Suite, which we loved! I can't say enough about the private sitting area and balcony over looking the garden. We were truly right in the center of the attractions, being able to walk to The Dobbin House(excellent food), and several other wonderful restaurants,(O'Rourkes, J's,Gettysburg Eddie's). The off street parking is an added bonus! Breakfast at the Brickhouse Inn was fantastic..egg souffles, pancakes, bacon,sausage..fresh juice...And fresh baked cookies every afternoon after a day of touring the battlfields.. The surprise of a chilled bottle of wine was waiting in our room every afternoon..The room was quiet and we were never awakened by other guests or street/traffic noise. We had a scheduling problem due to the weather and Amy got on the phone and took care of every detail within minutes. Our ghost tour with "Miss Betty" could not be missed! If you are going to Gettysburg and want to stay at an excellent inn, you could not ask for more than The Brickhouse Inn. You owe it to yourself..Call Brian and Tessa at the The Brickhouse Inn!!!

My wife and I just returned from our sixth visit to the Brickhouse Inn and our stay was memorable as always. Brian and Tesse are most gracious hosts and the rooms of the inn are immaculate. Breakfast is always a treat and the food is fantastic complete with the traditional shoo fly pie. The gardens of the inn are beautiful and surround the place with color. We always stay in the Welty House which was there during the Civil War and still bears the bullet scars in the brick. The battlefield is within walking distance of the inn. If you walk behind the inn near the school you can access a path leading to Culp’s Hill. We always like to take this path during the evening as being surrounded by the monuments in the solitude is truly a spiritual feeling. The rocking chairs on the porches of inn offer a relaxing spot to people watch. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture making you feel as if you have gone back in time. The Brickhouse Inn is a place where you will enjoy history and where you will always want to return.

After researching accommodations in Gettysburg (including using Tripadvisor), we decided on The Brickhouse Inn. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the Kentucky Suite in the Welty House. The establishment is very clean and well-tended. Our suite was nicely appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. We especially enjoyed our conversations with Brian who was full of information about the area and helpful in answering all of our many questions. The grounds are lovely and a quiet respite.

Would we stay here again?? Definitely!!

The Brickhouse Inn has it all, location, great innkeepers, good food, and charming rooms. We spent three nights there and found the innkeepers Tessa and Brian to be
as helpful and knowledgeable about the area as you could wish, as were the rest of the staff. They took care of all our reservations for dinner and arranging a private guide for a tour of the battlefield. The breakfast was delicious and served beautifully. The room was charming and immaculate. The location is perfect , right in the heart of the village leaving most things walkable. We will stay there again when we return to Gettysburg.
