Stayed here 4 days in June to tour Gettysburg battlefield. Have not had good experiences with Days Inn in past but gave it a try based on price and good reviews. Considerably cheaper than other hotels nearby and glad I chose it. It surpassed expectations. Very clean and very friendly staff. Crowded hotel, but did not notice any noise. Convenient to downtown Gettysburg but far enough away to be away from the heavy traffic of downtown. Perkins next door is nice (10% discount!). Dairy Queen next door but be advised they do not serve food. Ice cream only. Otherwise you have to get into your car and drive for other food places. Strange PA law that does not allow beer sales at convenience stores, so be advised if you thought you would stop at a gas station and bring back a 6 pack to put in the convenient refrigerators in room! Will definitely stay here if visiting again.
The staff are excellent, and the accommodations were quite nice. I especially liked the furniture in the room. I also liked that the sink was separate from the bathroom - I find that helpful, especially for a family of 4. My husband didn't think much of the breakfast. He said it wasn't much different than you could go purchase at the grocery store yourself, but I ate well and enjoyed it, as did my daughter. My son isn't much of a breakfast eater anyway. We enjoyed the pool and they had tons of towels available poolside, so that was very nice.
Hotel is a typical Days Inn, basic but relatively clean. The breakfast is a little lacking in choices.
Location is close to Gettysburg National Park, if you are going there it is a reasonable choice. Staff was nice and helpful.
We stay here at Days Inn in Gettysburg every time we visit family, usually two or three times a year. We feel at home here and recommend Days Inn to our friends.
We are always happy to see our returning guests..We appreciate your business and the fact you recommend us to your friends is so very nice of you and we look forward to your next visit..Best Regards
