Often the greeting of the front desk staff can set the tone for your stay...watch out with the 2 ladies up front. We found our experience with them very sour and extremely rude. Thankfully, Gettysburg has much to offer and a great place to visit.
My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. The room was very clean and it was convenient to everything. It is an older hotel but it is very well kept. The only time we had to drive was for the car tour of the cemetary. If you get a chance try the seance at the Farnsworth house it was so much fun.
We booked our reservation on line in advance but the day before our trip we needed to change our number of guests staying from 4 to 5. We called the hotel and we were changed to a room that had 3 beds for the best internet rate. The room was very clean and the hotel is close enough to walk to a lot of attractions. The Breakfast Cottage is a great feature and part of the overall rate and the food was good with a lot of options. The ladies at the Breakfast Cottage were very accomadating. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool so on a rainy day the kids were happy to discover that they could swim in the indoor pool. We would definetly stay here again when returning to Gettysburg.
This was the second time we stayed at this motor lodge. It is clean and located in the center of alot of the attractions. You could walk to almost everything. Breakfast was in this cute little blue cottage, and the breakfast was good. The wokers are very friendly. the rooms are clean and smell clean. I truly love this place, and will stay there again when I return to Gettysburg.
We enjoyed our stay and happy to find how convenient the location is to amenities. The breakfast was a treat in a little building with a wonderful hostess. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
