The original presidential library and museum, FDR's is the model all the others (some very over hyped) should follow. Nice mix of telling his life story with many personal artifacts, including his specially equipped car and his White House desk and chair - as he left them in April 1945.

You will need extra time to take in all of the memorabilia collected from the FDR years. The library is an excellent resource for students.

Often times, a museum is an overload of information. Not this time. Succinct and to the point. Excellent information very well presented. We learned so much and left feeling invigorated.

Wonderful hands on exhibits and thousands of photos. Well thought out and interesting. If there wasn't a raging snowstorm, I would have loved to walk around the grounds much more.

Excellent historic site. You could spend weeks researching in this excellent library (is also digitized). The grounds contain a few miles of the growing Hyde Park trails too.
