A very detailed collection of FDR/ER items. Different kind of displays with towers instead of horizontal.

Loved this museum - it goes so deep into FDR's presidency that anyone except the foremost experts will learn a ton of new things. It's definitely a great way to spend a few hours. The visitors center also has a nice gift shop and a snack bar. I wouldn't want to bring small children because they would probably get bored, but I think it would be great for preteens and up.

The curators have done a really fantastic job walking people through FDR’s life in virtually every aspect. Incredibly well designed museum and explanations of events. I particularly liked the letters between him and the Allied powers for the war. How he handled political, military, and personal matters was quite fascinating. Parallels what Churchill did in his war room in London in sections here, but this museum really covers FDR’s full life quite well before & after the war.

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Library and Museum consists of the Roosevelt family home, FDR Library and Museum. There is access to Vanderbilt Mansion, Eleanor's Val-Kill and Franklin's Top Cottage (seasonal). The house is authentically decorated with family artifacts. The museum has exhibits on the life and career of Franklin and Eleanor. When we were there they had a special exhibit on the Japanese internment camps which was very informative. There is plenty to see and experience so give it some extra time. The view of the Hudson is impressive as are all the grounds.

Great estate, lots of history just a shame the cafe had closed for the holidays. Lots of places to walk.
