Stopped in for a quick light dinner. Great chowder and an excellent salad. I love coming here. Something as simple as soup and salad... Done superbly.

A beautiful place to go for lunch. Check on the times when it is open. The lunch was very good. The CIA ground are beautiful especially during Spring, a Summer and Fall!

Yesterday I had the privilege of having the best lunch of my life at this restaurant in the Culinary Institute. We shared an appetizer of perfect mussels. Then we had a grilled lamb chop and also roast duck. They were so good and the meat was so tender and sauses devine. Then we followed that by 2 great deserts and a glass of ice wine. The service is excellent also, since all the staff are students and trying their best. Make reservations and enjoy !

We came across the opportunity to dine at the CIA and one of their many restaurants via our advanced travel research on TA. We were only slightly taken back by the requirement to make an reservation and an un-refundable deposit to secure a dining slot. You really have to know you are going to be available for this place. In the end, we truly enjoyed visiting the school grounds, which are very expansive, chatting with several of the 2,800 plus students, see food prepared, being waited on enthusiastic near-graduates, and experiencing the food.

You can easily fit lunch in between a early morning tour of the Vanderbilt Mansion and the FDR Library and Home in the afternoon.

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here. A wonderful apptizer followed by two tasty entree's, finally followed by a tasty desert and the best coffee we have had in some time on our vacation trip. The service was excellent; when we filled out the customer review form we were unable to come up with something to say about how they could improve the dining experience. Don't miss this place!
