“Sexually Harassed by Empolyee”

Upon check-in for our two night camping stay, the security guard was very inappropriate which caused us (two females) to feel extremely unsafe. He told us our reserved site was not very nice and when we asked if we should switch to a nicer site he said we should stay "at my house, in my bed, under my sheets." Instead of camping at our reserved site where he knew we were, we switched to a site in the main campground where there were many people camping. The next morning we filed a complaint with the campground and did not stay the second night. We are still awaiting a followup call from the campground manager.

“It is a nice beach by north Florida standards”

The beauty of this beach is that you can drive your vehicle and park on the beach. So pull in drop you tailgate turn on your car stereo and enjoy the beach, or watch your kids enjoy it while you relax, by your vehicle

This is the only beach in the area that you can get directly to the beach with your car !
I don’t think anything can beat driving straight to the ocean, parking your car on the wet sand and walk only 5 steps into the water.
Although the place was full, we could still find a nice place to park and to enter the ocean.
This beach has natural and unspoiled areas. So different from other beaches in the area. There are a lot of birds and fish.
We drove from Jax beach, where we stayed – totally different experience ! the drive was short and fun and involved taking the ferry (5 minutes).
You will definitely enjoy it !

“Perfect sand, perfect water - and driveable, too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2013

We LOVED this beach. Visited over Labor Day weekend. The only downside about this place is that a lot of other people LOVE this beach, too..... it gets very crowded as the day goes on!

Waves were perfect for body-surfing (and even some 'real' surfing. The sand is packed so well that even 2-wheel-drive vehicles can park out on the beach. Lifeguards are posted all along the waterfront after about 10am. Trash cans are provided, as are bathrooms near the beach access point. The camping area looked great, maybe we'll try that some day.

Highly recommended!

“Park your car on the beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013

This park is really lovely and you can even drive your car onto the beach. It is handy parking on the beach so that you don't have to drag all of the beach paraphernalia onto the sand beach. The beach itself is so beautiful and the sand is very packed (thus allowing the cars to drive on it). The dunes are quite picturesque. When I visited, portions of the beach were cordoned off so that the seabirds and their young families would not be disturbed until the hatchlings could fly. Of course this would happen only at the nesting time of the year. The birds were very interesting to watch. Personally I enjoy the full beauty of the beach without cars, but it is certainly convenient. This is a family friendly park, but dogs are not allowed.
