Went to "Hooters" before going to a game @ Everbank Stadium. There are only a few places to eat @ the Landings (a pizza place & a steak house). The view over the river & bridges make for some good photo ops, but when the sun goes down, all the benches along the riverfront become the areas homeless sleeping & drinking areas. There are some dark areas- so be careful!
I recommend going to the south side @ eat at Ruth Chis. More money, but safer!!!

We have lived all over the US and vacation in other countries. We like aquariums and zoo attractions. So we are always pleasantly surprised and delighted when we go to the zoo in our town to find how superior it truely is. The zoo has grown so much since we first visited. We would suggest a full day at this zoo and even plan to use the river to enhance the experience. I would also go to the zoo on a cloudy day or early before the heat - more active animals and a pleasant walk.

We were really excited to hear (when we were at Busch Gardens in Tampa) that a couple of their young Cheetahs were born in Jacksonville. In fact that is one of the main attractions about this zoo - they have lots of babies and they are easy to see. The enclosures are made for the animals first and then the human observer.

Our visiters always tell us the zoo was the highlight of their trip (and that is in pretty heavy competition!)

I bring all my visitors here and they all leave with a great experience. Yes some places needs improvement and with time it will happen. The free concert are awesome and all other activities. Some things in life are still free. ENJOY!!!

Very nice to sit outside and eat while watching the St. Johns river pass by. Very calming watching the city change from day to night.

It I great place to just walk around. The Main Street bridge is a good backdrop for photos. Shops and eateries are a plus as well.
