“Dwindling in beauty and quality, but worth it for the Welcome Center”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

The Landings are always dear to my heart for their beautiful Christmas holiday decorations and events. But their overall quality and variety of restaurants and stores appears to keep dwindling. The one thing that I was incredibly impressed with was the Jacksonville Welcome Center located inside the mall section of the Landings. They offered a very extensive variety of pamphlets and maps focused on the Jacksonville area, which were all free of charge.

Great placwe for a stroll by the waterfront. The Irish restaurant was great food and entertainment on the patio.
Several other restaurants and somew shopping...but lots of closed stores and a "feeling" the place has seen better days.

“So tired”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Poor Jacksonville Landing. It's one of those places that was probably a thriving area at one time, but has apparently fallen out of favor. Not much going on there, unfortunately, because it has the space and location to be a really fun place (we were there only during the daytime). It is located right next to the water, has an inside shopping area, a food court and a couple of restaurants. I believe a few of the restaurants do quite well, some not so much. There just seems to be a feeling of 'abandonment' there - not much vibe. We had read that there was a 'Jacksonville Market' there, but we found out that it is no more as the vendors have drifted away. We did see one person selling plants outside the front doors.

“Clearly Needs Work”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

My family and I visited Jacksonville Landing to buy some drinks after visiting the Friendship Fountain. What we found was a barely-open, dated, and dirty "shopping" area. Signs placed by the owners of closed shops even alluded to the fact that shady activities occur there.

The only reason why it didn't receive one star is because the people we did come across were warm and inviting.

Interesting event for new entrepreneurs. There were many different types of business ventures, as well as vendors of other types.
