I must say I was a little disappointed. This Historical Park is basically in a mobile home park and in a residential community. Is it just me? I feel historical places should be treated with better respect. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice little park with some beautiful trees and some small walking trails and picnic tables. It also does have a couple of old small cannons and a historical marker (that someone or ones have been taking pot shots at). It was just a little sad to me to see this spot where 350 Civil War Solders camped and protected Jacksonville's shipping supply lines to now be in between a mobile home park and a semi trucking place.
