Here now near the end of our trip. If you are looking for a peaceful place this is it. Kayaked every day and bicycled most days. Wonderful place for both. Seems a much more remote location than it really is, but the island had been left natural. The beach is wonderful and the facilities are well maintained. If you like to hike, bike, kayak, fish and/or swim you can't beat this park.
The campground is best for tents or small campers. There are few sites for much larger. Make sure that you bring a longer hose and extension cord as the electrical outlets and water are apart from each other in a lot of the sites. We have so many "favorite" state parks in Florida, but this is one of the top ones for us.
