When we arrived here they had our reservation mixed up and instead of a King, facing the river we got a room facing the parking lot with a giant whirlpool bath taking up half the room. Ridiculous. What makes it worse is that the room arrangement was so awkward that the vanity was in the room and the space for the shower and toilet was way too small. Very poorly designed room.
The hotel is being renovated so the entire second floor is closed off but the whole hotel smells badly of paint. The smell permeates every inch of the hotel and the rooms. You would think that if they are going to paint during operations they would use a low odor paint. God knows what those fumes are doing to young children and pregnant women.
After telling us that they had no other rooms to change us to, they did find another room but instead of a King, we ended up with two queens which had a lovely view of the street and the llwr floor's roof. They just could not get anything right it seems. While they did lower our rate, I found this to be the worst Experience of our trip.
I have no idea how long these renovations will last, but you might want to check before you book, especially if paint fumes cause you problems.More
