A great educational experience. The Visitor's center was superb and free that day!! You can stroll through the fort and get a good sense of just how the Corps of Discovery made it thru the rough winter while they were there. If you are a history buff, you'll love it.

My family (including triplet 10 year old boys) LOVED this place. We walked around and saw the fort and heard the talks from people dressed in period costumes. The best ones for my boys, of coarse, were a talk on rifles (and watching the man fire one) and the talk on making a fire with flint and steel. Then they wanted to buy one afterwards at the gift shop, but unfortunately, their supplier was behind so there were none.

I have lived on and off in the great Northwest for over 55 years , we studied Lewis & Clark in our elementary schools. This was my first visit to the fort, it's worth the effort to get there. Don't miss the movies , they are great.

Very interesting and very well done. It rained on our visit but that made it feel all the more authentic. Super friendly staff. Very well done, great educational opportunity. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the visitor center and the reconstructed fort. Also the walk to the lookout points (canoe landing sites). Can only imagine what Lewis & Clark and their group thought/felt when they wintered here.
