“Great visit”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We took the grand kids here to tour . They did the junior ranger program, a wonderful way for them to learn and have fun. Thanks for the staff there, who give the kids their certificates and badges for finishing the booklets. We enjoyed the demonstration of the food Lewis and Clark ate on their journey, and the black powder gun shooting.

“Fun Stop”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

My wife and I arrived on the first day of the summer season so there were a number of costumed volunteer reenactors - and even a friendly Newfoundland dog "interpreting" Lewis' dog Seaman. The fort is a well constructed replica of the one the explorers inhabited during the winter of 1805. Note: if you are a geocacher there is a relatively easy to find one along a trail from the visitors center.

“Interesting stop for the history buff.”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

The recreated fort was nicely done and gave you a good incite into what most important expedition went through the winter of 1804-1805. The museum not only added to the information, but was very informative about the Native American culture of the region. The only negative was the two movies were dated and a little corny.
