Loved the large room facing the river. Plenty of space for two people and luggage. Nice big chair by the window overlooking the river. Front desk folks were so helpful. Gave us a bottle opener for our beer, and printout of route back to PDX .
Good breakfast, nice lobby with fireplace, outdoor furniture next to riverwalk overlooking river. Love the historic photos of Astoria and the list of incoming ships in the lobby area.

Room Tip: third floor river view side of building. There was no traffic on the bridge at night that I was aware of .

The hotel is almost under the Astoria Bridge. There is a trolly and trail along the waterfront behind the hotel. They have bikes for guests. The rooms are very nice and the front desk staff were very professional and courteous. (see my bridge photo)

What a pleasant surprise. I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn in probably 20 years. WOW I was very impressed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. the hotel is VERY clean. The rooms were very comfortable and the city of Astoria is quite charming. The free breakfast was a bonus. We will absolutely come back on our next trip through oregon.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk for places to eat. There is a wonderful Bistro within walking distance. We never would have found it if we had not asked.

We stopped at this hotel because they accept pets and boy were we amazed at our room and the service. We got a room on the first floor that overlooked the river, we had huge ocean going freighters passing by the window. We had a wonderful River Walk just outside our door that went for miles. The staff were great, very accepting of our dog. There isn't a restaurant in the Inn, but they make excellent suggestions. We ordered in, went for a walk and then turned on the fireplace and watched freighters and pedestrians. Wonderful view.

Room Tip: All rooms face the river

Would probably rate this hotel as a 4.5. This hotel was built in 2004 and says that it is the closest hotel in town to the "bridge". We literally had a room right on the river with the bridge almost above us. Great view. Enjoyed watching all the activity on the water. Guest 18 and above may use a bicycle free for one hour for riding the bike path along the river. Each extra hour costs $5. So come and relax and enjoy wonderful views of the mighty Columbia.

The hotel has automatic doors and a covered drive thru. Enter into a nice large lobby with lots of seating and two fireplaces. Four floors are serviced by one elevator. Very cordial staff at check-in and enjoyed the fresh cookies and coffee that is available 24/7. Two computers are available in the private business center. Get fit with the 3 machines in the fitness center and then enjoy the whirlpool and pool. Free wi-fi, too. Use the laundry to clean those dirty clothes.

The hallway to the room was brightly lit. Our 2-queen bed room had a flat screen HDTV with good channel lineup. Had a desk with an arm chair, a night stand with lamp as well as an extra lamp by a sitting chair, 4 drawers for storage, 2 full mirrors, microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board, and coffee/tea.

The bath was all in one room with a shower/tub combo. Vanity with sink was spacious with a large mirror. Had an exhaust fan and hair dryer. No towel bars were available, but had 4 hooks.

We congratulate HIE for using fiberboard for the cups, plates, and bowls. Wonderful breakfast. Bacon, sausage, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancake maker, cereals, pastries, bagels, yogurt, juices. Very good coffee.

We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a river view room.
