Two couples together sharing an anniversary dinner. Both of us thought the Silver Salmon Grille was the place to try. It sounded romantic with high quality food and service. Two of us ordered the fresh chinook topped with Dungeness crab; it was some of the best salmon I have had - and I have had quite a bit. Another had a smaller salmon; also excellent, but not quite as good. The fourth had a Dungeness Crab Louie and liked it very much. There was also a Dungeness crab appetizer that was very good. So for salmon and crab, this place is hard to surpass.
We had a very competent young waiter who rolled with our jests and returned nicely in kind. Service was excellent. This place would get five stars on food and service.
The lights were dimmed and supposedly romantic, and I guess it worked somewhat. But the paper tablecloth that soaked up the condensation on the outside of our drinks was cheap and disconcerting to all four of us. One would think that an upscale restaurant could do better than that.
