“Great walking trail”
Reviewed 26 March 2014

Recently stayed at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn and walked from that location about half the distance into downtown Astoria. Walkway was clean and well maintained.

“A Walk With Potential”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

I walked from one end of the walk clear through town to the other end. Peaceful in February with lots of chances to see the "working Columbia River". The trail is really a jump off point to the town... along the trail itself, there are some restaurants but mostly it's the regular life and maritime workings of Astoria. To be honest, not the most attractive trail to look at unless you like looking at dumpsters at the back of businesses, junk in fenced yards working dock businesses, cyclone fences with weeds, the back of a Holiday Inn...Still, I had a lovely ramble with my dog. The end of the trail brings you right to the wonderful Maritime museum and if you just want a fun way to get some fresh air, it's fine.
This looks to be a former rails-to-trails path that apparently also has a trolley (which I never saw)

“Easy and Accessable”

Get on...right in front of the hotel...walk as far as you like. the trolley runs along the same pathway...which is just as fun. Nothing to dislike.

“Wandering”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

If you have a dog, want to bike or hike, or just want to get around you will enjoy the Astoria Riverwalk. It was rainy when I was there, but it was still a kick to explore the area and meet the tourists who were out and about!

“Do not miss the many things you will find on your walk along the Astoria River Walk on the Mighty Columbia River !”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

Take an eclectic walk along the Columbia river on the Riverwalk in Astoria. The big box store was in a valuable location. What the last reviewer may not know. The hill across the street from the market as an active slide zone and there was not many other spots for a market. It does provide a valuable service for that end of Astoria. Back to the Riverwalk. You see everything from beauty to industrial. Its just some of the open greenspace in the oldest town west of the Mississippi called Astoria, Oregon. Park your car and walk it. Jump on the trolly for the ride back. Everything you need you will find along the way.
