Just got settled into the hotel and wanted an adult beverage before turning in. Everything
around our hotel was closed after 9pm! One of the restaurants told us to go here and we had fun! I thought it was going to be a local dive bar...it's a local bar but not a dive. We closed the place up! There were only 3 of us there after midnight! The bartender was fantastic. She was so cute and really fun to talk to. Thanks for an unexpectedly fun evening!! We didn't have anything to eat so I cannot comment on the menu.

Thank Diane C

We're just reviewing the bar and it's great. We like local dive bars that are unpretentious and full of local flair and color. This is it in spades. The heavily tattooed bartender was a sweetheart and couldn't have been kinder and nicer to a couple of out of towners. The drinks were well made, hearty, and reasonably priced. Keep the high brow, well heeled, cocktail spot. We prefer real folk with a little grit and a story to tell.

Located in the historic Labor Temple building this is a bar and cafe. Its a locals hangout. Great basic breakfast. Come for the food, stay for the local color.

Five of us had breakfast. I had bacon and eggs, sourdough toast and home fries. Over easy eggs were perfectly cooked and the four huge slices of bacon were crispy, smokey and delicious. The home fries had peppers and onions and were really good, too. The small order of pig in a blanket was a huge pancake wrapped around link sausage accompanied by maple syrup. Denver omelet and hash browns left almost no room on the plate for the rye toast. Another order of pig in a blanket with eggs and oatmeal and toast along with coffe for everyone completed the meal. Service was a bit slow but the food was really good. Five meals came to $38.!! A bargain.

Found this place from a friend. Kind-of-a local bar where the locals go to play video poker and have a glass of breakfast. But...what a great breakfast. With no question try the "maddy J". A flaky bisquit with a sausage patty, cheese, egg, and the top of the bisquit ...and sausage gray poured on top. OMG get the hash browns and you have the ultimate diet platter !!!!!
