My girlfriend and I stayed here in the Clementine Suite, a two bed room with a seating area. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable, the seating inside was nice and this room had a small private porch looking to the river. The bathroom was large, although there was no tub, just a stall shower, which was fine with us. It is a room where you will not feel cramped in.

The breakfasts were very good. The meal is served at one large table, so if there are other guests staying there, you will have a chance to talk with them. I don't remember what each of the meals were, but I do remember enjoying each. This B&B is really two houses, so we had a full table each morning.

The location is really good. You can walk to the downtown area of Astoria for shops and restaurants.

If you stay here, be sure to check out the garden in the backyard. Just beautiful! Very colorful!

The only downside are the stairs. There are several stairs to get to the front door, some are higher than normal steps (maybe a dozen steps; these are the steps in the front of the second house; the steps on the corner house are better; you just walk across the front deck). There are additional steps getting to the Clementine suite. I didn't see a ramp or elevator, so if you have problems with stairs, you may want to call and talk with them.

I happened upon this beautiful Victorian by pure happenstance, needing a last-minute place to attend a wedding in Astoria sans wife (she was in Paris!). I landed in the Sunriser Room, which abuts the corner of the house with a captain's terrace offering a commanding view of the stunning ship activity on the Columbia River. In fact, the same view can be seen from your reading chair or lying in bed. Call it mesmerizing. The rest of the room is lovely, charming and old in all the right ways. The room is small, but in a nesting cozy way and it has its own very adequate private bathroom just down the hall (not shared!). The rest of the Inn is equally lovely and they serve wine at cocktail hour and the home-made breakfast was dee-lish! It is located smack dab in the middle of Astoria and this is a magical town. Do not miss the Sunday market (salmon chowder, anyone?), and the panoramic views of the majestic river at every turn make every dining and drinking experience a winner. I plan to return with my wife and a satchel full of books for a good storm in the winter. And did I mention the delightful hospitality of the owner and her staff? This place is a well-kept secret and just enough out of the way to keep it so. We hope.

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of an Oregon road trip. It was a great B&B experience. Comfortable room, wonderful breakfast and beautiful gardens. The owner is a lovely woman and creates a casual, but well-run atmosphere. The common room was comfortable and a good meeting place for a chat with other guests. Would definitely recommend a stop in Astoria and a stay at Clemintines.

We stayed here for two nights in the French Violet room, it was quite small but, clean and comfortable enough. There was a small balcony but it was too chilly to sit out. We went down for the happy hour and chatted to the other guests which was very good. Judith is a good hostess and was helpful in finding a laundry for us to use, also helping to look for our next stop. The breakfast was nicely cooked and well presented sitting round with the other guests. We didn't have a problem with the on street parking but the steps up to the front door are quite steep. It is within easy walking distance of the many good restaurants in Astoria.

Let's get the basics out of the way first. Nice clean room with a great view of the Columbia River. Quite comfortable.

The owner, an absolute gem. Probably the most personable hostess we've had over many B&B stays. Provided a gourmet family style breakfast each morning and actively interacted with the quests. Knowledgeable about the area and provided great suggestions. Great stay!

Be aware the stairs are quite steep to enter, Astoria us a hilly town so that is normal.
