“Great owners and great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

Had a great stay at the Rose River Inn in Astoria. The owners were very nice and the property was beautiful The breakfast was perfect - loved the vanilla yogurt.

Would certainly stay there again. No complaints.

They have an extensive movie collection and a beautiful manicured yard.

Beautiful old house, the flowers around the outside are amazing. The rooms are all nicely decorated, bathroom well kept. We ended up going for a walk on the riverfront and getting a bottle of pear cider nearby. Settled in for the evening in the sun room/porch attached to our room and enjoyed the sunset. Breakfast was very good. Thanks Pam and Dave!

Although we did not have a lot of time, this is a relaxing place to stay in a nice little town. We enjoyed our visit to the tower our innkeeper suggested. The breakfast was enjoyable. Bed was comfortable and the porch was enjoyable to sit on.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the porch in the sun flare room to sit and watch the river.

great hosts, yummy breakfast and great old home with charming rooms. We stayed in the Othello room and The river room. Both were great the sitting room in the river room has an awesome view. The town has great little resteraunts and coffee shops we preferred coffee at the 14th st. cafe and had great treats at the scorcher bakery and enjoyed dinner and a beer at Fort George one night and great pizza at Baked Alaska(service here was not the best at Baked Alaska but food was awesome) Great antique stores too all within walking distance and don't miss the Sunday market. The clawfoot tubs in both rooms were awesome.

Room Tip: othello was quieter and smaller but the view in the river room was awesome.

stayed before and liked the inn and the town also. this time we stayed 3 nights to see things. we are from california and for the view and location the price was very reasonable. walking distance to everything. enjoyed meeting other people at breakfast which was very good again. enjoyed setting on the front porch and look at the garden that was just coming into pqbloom. david and pam do everything and take pride in it and it shows.

The innkeepers are most attentive to their guests. Good location, with easy walk to downtown Astoria or the Astoria Column. Exceptional breakfast and a friendly & comfortable place to relax. They have a library of 600 DVD's to borrow if you're a movie buff. Highly recommend a stay her if you're in Astoria.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The Tower room was very large and comfortably appointed with lots of nice high quality extras. Rose River is within an easy walk to the downtown where there are many restaurants. Breakfast was great and included a large bowl of fresh fruit followed by a delicious quiche served at a large common table.. Conversation with other guests flowed easily. Our hosts were very welcoming and very knowledgeable about Astoria and vicinity. All in all a terrific place to stay.
