A great place to get a healthy sandwich for lunch (healthy in size and/or nutrition.) You pick the ingredients, so it can be a Plain Jane or a gourmet feast. Also available are home made soups and off the shelf selections you will only find in a country store. They offer a fine selection of coffee or wine. You may enjoy your selections at tables inside and out or take it with you.

I love this small town Fort Davis. I love staying in a "camp" room at the Stone Village Tourist Camp. I usually love the cranberry almond chicken salad at the market, but this time it was overloaded with rosemary. Maybe that's my cue to try something different next time ... the broccoli salad did look delish :)

After a long hike into Fort Davis National Historical Park from the state park, we asked where we could walk to so we could get some lunch. Several people mentioned this market because 1) it was close to the national park and 2) it was good. We were not disappointed. We ordered deli sandwiches and something cold to drink and ate outside watching the town go by. It was a great rest stop for us before we headed back over the hills to the state park. I looked over the market while we waited for our sandwiches to be made and saw that it was a great little grocery store. We will be back.

Today we did it all at Stone Village Market! We had a great lunch, bought some groceries, and bought beautiful black and white photo art. To our surprise the cashier was the photographer and signed the photos for us.
The food at Stone Village is delicious, healthy, and fresh. I love the broccoli salad, the made to order sandwiches are just that-- so they are always great, and the chocolate crinkle cookies are deep, rich chocolate tastes of heaven! They have great coffee to go with the cookies. Stop by and enjoy!

Health Food items, gourmet cooking ingredients, English tonic for real Gin & Tonics, good beer and wine selection in a most unlikely spot. Not pretentious or over-priced (considering the remoteness). GREAT coffee (drip-brewed) from DeCoty and Big Bend Coffee Roasters. Highly recommended. Free Wi-Fi, too!
