Owner description: The city's native son, the Great Bambino, is celebrated in the house he was born in, now a museum stocked with memorabilia like the catcher's mitt he used while learning baseball, the bat from his famed 1927 season and exhibits honoring the Orioles.

We made a special effort to see this museum before we left Baltimore. The museum is small but it's filled with historic photos and memorabilia showcasing the career of the Great Bambino! His family history and photos are particularly interesting as are the summaries of his historic career. There is plenty to see and enjoy for both fans and non-fans alike. Well worth a short visit!

I went twice during my few days in Baltimore. It is an absolute must for any true baseball fan. Make sure to allow plenty of time and not rush through. Especially now that the original Yankee Stadium is gone, this is the closest place you can get to The Babe now. A very short walk from Oriole Park at Camden Yards and numerous hotels.

This is a lovely little museum. The house itself was George Herman “Babe” Ruth’s grandparent’s house where he was born as the apartment his parents lived in was small and above the shop the family owned. The rest of the museum is situated in the neighbouring houses and they’ve knocked the walls through to make it one larger area. There’s a few small exhibits both upstairs and downstairs. If you like to read all the plaques on the wall, you could spend 45-60 minutes here. It’s small but still interesting!

My husband is a baseball fan so we stopped here and because of the size of it, we were really not expecting it to be as interesting, informational, and so well done! The building looks small but there is plenty of Babe Ruth memorabilia and exhibits to look at and listen to!! I loved that his grandparents had actually lived in part of this row house and the room replica's were authentic. It's a great tribute to his life and if you are a Babe Ruth fan, I'd highly recommend stopping here! There is not much else around the area except some cool row houses so you might want to take a Taxi or Uber here!
