“A hidden gem in Dundalk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2013

Thank goodness for GPS, for helping us to find this restaurant. On the water, by a marina, view of the river, great staff and wonderful food. We loved the crab cake and the hush puppies and my husband's oyster sandwich (with 8 oysters) looked great and he loved it! Not your typical Dundalk eatery although very laid back....as one reviewer said..like in the Keys. Being from Florida, I would agree that this place is so reminsiscent of the Florida Keys experience.

“Hidden on the Waterfront of Dundalk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2013

Tucked away on the waterfront in Dundalk, this is about as far away from a typical Dundalk experience as you can get. Over the years the HYC has expanded from a virtual shanty on the docks to a pretty versatile bar and restaurant. The partons are typically a little bit more laid back and easy-going than many of the other establishments in the area (maybe it's the water or the Buffett songs).

I had the chance to go for a happy hour after doing a railroad siding clean up with the Dundalk Renaissance Corporation. As drinks go, at least beer wise, you'll find the run of the mill big brews. But was surprised to find some craft on tap as well, particularly that it was from Kona Brewing. Which for a bar in Dundalk is well nice and refreshing as opposed to the regular swill that one has a choice from.

Also grabbed a bit to eat as well. Kept it simple, ordered the BLT. And i can't complain. Nice crispy bacon, cool crisp lettuce, tomatoes with some flavor, not too much mayo, and toasted bread. I mean it's like it's hard to screw up a BLT and well they didn't. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would not mind chilling with a couple of drinks on a warm day some other occasion.

“Waterfront fun”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

This is a great spot to drink, eat and hear live music, right on the waterfront at Anchor Bay Marina. It can get very crowded but the food is decent and the atmosphere is like being in the Keys.
