The service is GREAT
The Staff are GREAT
The rooms are cool to romantic, but definately upgrade for a harbor view worth the few extra bucks. Needs a breakfast service or dinning to be perfect. Again the staff are very attentive, pleasant, & accomedating to every need.
A must stay if you can get a good deal, a bit pricey at normal rates. The rooms, location, and service make it worth the money. But check the website for deals often or sign up for web emails to be sent to you.

Checked Trip Advisor before booking and all the ratings were very positive, which is why I wanted to stay there.

I will try briefly to explain why I was disappointed. 1) Called hotel to make a reservation at 3:00 p.m. on the day of my stay...they would not allow the AAA discount. However, I hung up and booked the same room on the internet, with the AAA discount, just minutes after my conversation with the reservationist...what's with that? 2) After checking in, we were advised that there was to be a party that night in their lobby and that things "might" get loud...which indeed was true. Why was that not disclosed when speaking to the reservationist PRIOR to making a non-refundable reservation?? Perhaps I would have chosen one of their sister hotels instead. 3) I think that for the charge of $242.00 (before tax, etc.) I think one should find an impeccably clean room...not one with carpeting that did not look vacuumed and a sink that did not look like it had been cleaned/sanitized. I did not complain as I was told at check in that the hotel was booked so I knew there would not be another room to move to. I'm sorry...but I expect a spotless room when I'm paying those prices.
I was truly disappointed as I thought the location of the hotel was great and was looking forward to experiencing a positive stay.

Pier 5 is next to The Baltimore Aquariam and Hard Rock Cafe, and has a Water Taxi stop at its back door (Pier 5 on the Water Taxi schedule). But more than that was the super-friendly front-desk folks and valets.

Room Tip: It only has 65 rooms; every room has a view!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for one night over Memorial Day weekend while traveling to MD for a wedding. We did not get to the hotel until almost 8 at night and had to leave mid-morning, so it wasn't until the next day that I realized how close so many places were to the hotel. It's within walking distance to several shops and restaurants, the Aquarium, Little Italy, plus it sits by a marina so you have access to boating. I want to plan another trip to Baltimore where I can stay longer, and I will stay at this hotel again. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Plus in the hotel itself there are a couple of nice restaurants and bars, and the lounge area is very pretty. The reason I'm giving this a 4-star rating is because there was a prom going on the night I was there, and so it was a bit difficult to enjoy the hotel amenities thanks to the teens taking over and the loud music. The rooms are very clean and I was able to sleep very well-in spite of the prom events-thanks to the fan in the room.

I'm not sure if the parking is free or not. I had my car valet since the parking deck is a bit of a walk from the hotel, and we had quite a bit of luggage.

WE had a great stay at Pier 5. This is the perfect location to take in the best of Baltimore. Water taxi is awesome and the restaurants, both in the hotel and around the area were fantastic. Would love to come bak to Baltimore for a longer stay...

Stayed one night over Memorial Day paid $208 which included tax. Then there was parking and the $10 resort fee. The staff were all very friendly but Empress was amazingly helpful.

We were able to check in early, stayed on the third floor. The room was big and clean, could use some minor updating, but the lighting really needs to improved. The room had catherdral ceilings so not if that was part of the reason. Not a big deal though.

Can't beat the location.

Totally would suggest you put Pier 5 on your short list of hotels to stay at while in Baltimore.
