I had the pleasure of attending my company dinner at the Pier-5 Hotel on March 19th, 2014. From the moment you walk in you feel your someplace special! The staff is attentive, engaged, and served with a genuine smile. Their were approximately 60 of us there and they still managed to make me feel "special"! Good to see true Hospitality still exists!

Wonderful location; great access to restaurants; friendly and efficient staff. Infrastructure (no wi-fi; LOUD heat pumps in room) impact on the overall guest experience. three story property. Can walk between ground level and second floor; 2 slow elevators to service the rest of the hotel

What a great weekend we had at the Pier 5 Hotel. The hotel is perfectly located near everything in Inner Harbor. It offers spacious rooms with an amazing view. The staff went above and beyond to help meet all our needs. The special events they have (crabby hour and the chocolate happy hour) were great. And to top it all off....the breakfast buffet including an omelette station was the best! Over all I give it a 10.... And I don't give that often. Thanks for a wonderful St Patrick's Day weekend.... We will see you again soon.

We were gifted a weekend at the Pier 5 for Christmas and we had a very good time. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and we never had to get our car out of parking as everything was in walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was very good. We actually lost power our last night there, and that was disheartening as the hotel was dark and it kind of killed our dinner at Ruth Chris's. All in all, not a bad stay.

Room Tip: Make sure to not get the rooms with the view of the A/C's.

As you mentioned in your review, one of the benefits of our hotel is the close proximity it has to all of the wonderful things to do and see around Inner Harbor. We noticed in your writeup you mentioned that on your last night the hotel lost power. We want to apologize for this inconvenience.

We have stayed here before, but it was years ago. This is a lovely, small, well-run hotel with a personal touch. We were there this weekend and really enjoyed it. We typically go to Baltimore a handful of times per year and stay at different locales for variety. This will be on our list to stay at again in the future for sure.

Your proximity to everything is obvious, and you can walk/run along the harbor, which is great. There are tons of restaurants to choose from if you don't mind a short walk, and the area is full of things to do.

The hotel has a nice breakfast, the staff is very attentive and will cook your omelet to order or whip up a waffle for you. Parking across the way in the garage is pricey, but that is convenient and pretty much the way it is anywhere you stay in the harbor area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor are quieter; ask for a harbor view if available.

M3Mechanicsburg, thank you for writing a phenomenal review, and we'd also like to thank you for your continuous patronage to our property. We couldn't be happier to hear you had another exceptional experience at our hotel.

We noticed you mentioned how close our location is to all of the great places to see, shop and eat at around Inner Harbor. It's extremely common for many of our guests to choose our property because we are right next to all of the action of the Harbor.

We'll make sure to let our breakfast team know they impressed you not only with their delicious cooking skills, but also their friendly and attentive demeanor. We want to thank you for sharing your experience with us and the TripAdvisor community. It really means a lot when guests take the time out of their day to leave a spectacular review. We hope you realize how much we appreciate it, and know this kind gesture doesn't go unnoticed.

If we can ever do anything to accommodate you in a future visit to our hotel, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you. We can't wait to see you back!

From the outside it looks ok but that's where it stops. The lobby is decorated in modern style, for the 1980's. Hotel staff is nice and helpful. We got a room right next to the elevator, which was not ideal but didn't make for any problems. The room was another story. We had a beautiful view of the AC units on the roof below, th bathroom fan was broken, one of the light switches was broken, and the water temperature was not controllable. Overall it's a cheap motel in an expensive location. Would not do this again. Hope this helps.

NewMexicoTechClass, we're disappointed to hear you weren't fully satisfied with your experience at our property. We take guest feedback very seriously, and want to thank you for taking the time to share yours with us.

We've gone ahead and passed along the comments you made about your room to our engineering department to look into. We want to apologize that you experienced these mishaps during your time at our location.

We hope that despite your last experience, you'll give us another chance so we can show you that what you experienced was a deviation from the norm at our hotel.

Thank you.

The Pier 5 has a pretty unbelievable location...next to the Aquarium (which is fantastic), a block from Little Italy, a very short distance to Fells Point, so it's just hard to beat. But the rooms are a little worn, and ours was missing a lamp or two, so the lighting was a step off--all in all, perfectly adequate, but not quite at the top. Service was courteous, and good, but not great. I would go back.
