My son booked us a room on Easter weekend here, the entire experience was fantastic. The size of the room was great, location in the neighborhood of Fells Point was also a big plus. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and places to dine or sit down for a drink. Also nice environment was the tavern in the basement, we had a night cap there on Saturday evening, it seemed like not many people knew about it as it was quite empty but the bartender made a tasty old fashion and it was a nice relaxing spot.

I recently stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn on a Thursday night and had an excellent stay. The service was excellent, Mario the manager really took care of me. My room was good, and the location of the hotel was right in the middle of everything. He even pointed me in the direction of the local hot spots to go out.

As a huge Ravens fan living in NC I spend a lot of time in Baltimore come football season. I've stayed in most of the hotels in the downtown core and wanted to venture out a bit further this last time. We ended up at the Admiral Fell Inn and loved it. While it's still in the city it's not right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the inner harbor traffic you'll find closer to the stadium yet still right by the water. The part I loved the most was the history of the hotel and the idea that there might just a ghost waiting for me around one of the corners. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly and the hotel is bursting with charm. Not to mention the location has tons of delicious eateries and shops and is within walking distance of Little Italy. Definitely on the list to revisit!

It's great to hear we have some fellow Ravens fans living in the south! From reading over your review, we saw you mentioned how you really loved the history surrounding our hotel. There's no denying our location is different from most other hotels, and we're proud of that. If you didn't get to this time, you definitely need to go on our ghost tour. You'll learn a lot about the history of our hotel and the Fell's Point area.

Based upon experience from 10 yrs back, I recommended this hotel to friends visiting Baltimore for a week in early May, 2014. Never again. First alert - no bellman to help with luggage on a late afternoon check-in, followed by first night 1/2 off coupon for bar that was to open at 5:30. At 6pm uninformed desk clerk said bar about to open, at 6:15 told opening soon. At 7pm still not open (didn't open that night-later told no one scheduled bartender). Elevators NEVER vacuumed during stay. Was told a local church had a 5pm Sat Mass - actually was 4:30pm. The interior walls and carpeting to the bar area were filthy and torn. The outside bar entrance had ripped stair carpeting that was not only despicable looking but with such rips, an accident waiting to happen - along with what would be a well deserved law suit. The "help" at one of the breakfast events was surly and disinterested .But the most serious issue was a phone call to the front desk one very late evening. The front desk phone rang about 30 times - never to be answered. In a real emergency, this could have been a disaster. The list can go on, but you get the point. Maybe for overnight only or for partying guests this might be a spot, but for a week long visit to Baltimore this was a poor choice. I'll never recommend this hotel again.

Room Tip: Quiet is not something you can expect from Admiral Fell because it is in the middle of a popular bar...

A few friends and I traveled to the Tavern at the Admiral and absolutely had a blast! The people there were very knowledgeable and the hotel manager was a truly nice guy. The bartender, Steve, made us a few of his specialties and let me tell you. His drinks were absolutely on point and they tasted amazing! I would recommend this place for a casual drink, a night at the bar, or just a stop by to say hi!

This is a historic hotel, built out of several buildings. So if you are looking for the most modern amenities, this is not it. Interesting historical plaques throughout the hotel, and each room is named in honor of a historical figure. Hallways are a bit narrow, which you would expect in a historic building. Floors are a bit uneven as well, but it added to the charm of the hotel. Our room had 2 double canopy beds with nice linens, although I would agree they are starting to look tired. The room was well appointed with furnishings. The bathroom was small and adequate. Both our room and bath were clean. Even though we had a room that was on the "not noisy" side, this hotel is located right in the middle of lively Fell's Point and there was noise (car horns, shouting and laughter etc..) from the outside, until ~2:00am. Parking is by valet and it can take some time to retrieve your car. Every staff member we met was helpful, cheerful and polite - very eager to assist in any way. Brunch on Saturday was very, very nice - made-to-order omelets, waffles, bacon/sausages, fruit, pastries. Breakfast on Friday was more continental, but still very nice. We received a good rate, plus free brunch/breakfast through Johns Hopkins and it was a straight shot up Broadway to the Orleans Garage (no more than 10 minutes with traffic). Lots of good places to eat dinner near the hotel and within walking distance. This would be a fun place to stay (as well as a great location) if I were coming back to enjoy all of the Fells Point attractions.

Room Tip: There is a "more quiet" side to the hotel which is nice if you have older people with you...

My husband and I had visited the harbor years ago and fell in love with the Fells Point area. When we found ourselves going back, I did a little research and ended up booking Admiral Fell Inn. GREAT choice! We were there very early on a Sunday morning and the front desk gladly checked our bags for us so we could explore. We walked everywhere with no problem as the location is just perfect. Lots of bars, restaurants, pubs and things to do within blocks. Our room was very clean and well laid out. The lobby, very nicely decorated. The staff extremely helpful and friendly. Hakeem was especially kind and helpful, and what a smile. When we find ourselves in Baltimore again - for whatever reason - we will be staying at the Admiral Fell Inn. For us... it was perfection! Our thanks to the great staff!
