“Worth the find”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

Enjoyed a thoroughly good meal while in Baltimore. Had the lager broth mussels for starters, which were firm, plump, and very tasty; just would have liked more crustini without having to ask for it. My Love had the rabbit/crawfish gumbo which was very tasty, but doesn't come with the heat one expects from a gumbo. I had the fried catfish, with mustard greens, and cheesy grits, which was amazing. The fish was well fried, seasoned, and the additional of the stewed tomatoes, which complimented the greens and grit completed the meal. The only drawback is Bluegrass is located in an area with restricted parking and while their website stated the valet was complimentary, it was in fact $5. It's a nominal fee, but it should noted. We'd definitely go back.

“Super Cooking”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We enjoyed Bluegrass Tavern very much; sort of creative southern cooking with a gourmet flair. Between us we had fried chicken, pork and fish. All were very tasty. The fried chicken was superb. Forget whatever you think you know about fried chicken. This place is truly unique and different and the whole team tries to surprise and please their guests. The wine list is not huge but goes from basic to expensive. The deserts were homemade and decadent. You will definitely feel you have been out for something out of the ordinary; and will leave satisfied and trying to figure out what you might try next time.

The restaurant is located in a densely packed residential neighborhood. Don't expect to find parking. Valet for $5. Or bet yet, taxi and enjoy the bar service.

“A great find! ”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

I was surprised at how much I throughout enjoyed our dinner here. The staff was so pleasant and accommodating, every dish challenged my flavor palate in the best way. The fact that they are a true to heart farm to table restaurant just made it that much better! I'm excited for a return dinner soon.

“Great atmosphere. Staff totally dig what they do.”
Reviewed 6 March 2014 via mobile

Brussel sprouts were spiritual. Cauliflower gratin was fine. Pots du creme tasted vegan but it wasn't. Very pleasant place and staff. My being vegetarian may have been in the way. You just think you don't like brussel sprouts. You will there.
