“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2011

We are gold members. The purpose of our trip was to attend an alumni event at JHU (homewood campus). We booked standard room with a weeekend rate of $129 which included free breakfast for everyone, $25 bonus bucks gc and two free movie tixs. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a corner suite. The room came with a fridge and microwave. Moreover, the room was set up with the pack play (no sheets). The front staff and bell man were super effeciant. The hotel is a great area - walking distance to all inner harbour attractions, little italy, port discovery, etc. The hotel is five minutes from the end of 83. Whole Foods is right next door. CVS is around the corner. The pool in the hotel was nice - there was also a hot tub. Only negative - there was no towels at pool. The lifeguard was proactive and called twice. I called the third time. The head of housekeeping delievered the towels approxmiately 30 minutes after first call. The free breakfast buffet was great - fruit, eggs made to order, waffle machine, yogurts, cereals, muffins, donuts, bacon, hash browns, oatmeal and assortment of drinks. I highly recomend for family with kids. Parking was $23 a day with in and out privileges. Lastly, in addition to its small fitness center, this hotel grants you access to another big gym down the street at no charge. I didn't use this, but the pictures looked impressive. We will return again.

We stayed at this hotel for a family reunion around Christmas. The lobby was comfortable and we spent a lot of time there. The bar and restaurant were great, service was a bit slow inthe restaurant at breakfast but the staff was wonderful. Rooms were large ans very clean. Great location in downtown, were able to walk to all of the shopping and museums.

Wife and I arrived and parked right inside the building which is very convenient, front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We went to the breakfast buffet, cook made us a real good omelet to order. Walked down the street to an Irish pub, very close to Fells Point and Inner Harbor. Had a real good time, will come back again..thank you

My friends and I spent a day/night in Baltimore in October. This hotel was fine for us and the location was really good. We checked in Sat morning and then walked over to the Galleria at Inner Harbor. That was only about a 15 minute walk. Spent the day shopping and then walked back towards the hotel and stopped at the Irish Bar/Restaurant right around the corner from this hotel for happy hour. Had dinner at a "wine bar" right down the street from the hotel and then walked up to Fell's Point for a night of drinks. Although we didn't spend much time in the room, we had no issues and when we did have a room key issue the Front Desk employee didn't hesitiate to walk us to our room to fix it.

Stayed 2 nights for business. I received E-mail from the Courtyard "On-Line Concierge" asking if I had any requests. I did request an upper floor room, in-room fridge and microwave. I received none of these upon check in. The website said the pool was going to be closed for maintainance until Oct 19th, it opened the day I left (21st).

My 5th floor room smelled slightly musty. The wireless internet service was slow, and I had to restart my computer several times to continue my work.

On the plus side, the location was great, and Whole Foods and CVS in same building made for some convenient shopping for food and other items. The breakfast was decent, no complaints.

This was my first Courtyard stay. For the price ($189/night) I have had better hotel rooms.

My husband and I have stayed here twice and I am from Baltimore. I know the areas of the city and this is the one area I WOULD stay in. Most of the other hotels downtown and near the convention center are not in the best area. The hotel was clean, staff was competent and helpful, parking is on site in the adjacent garage (you have to pay but the parking is close). We also stayed here the night of our wedding in June of 2008 and again in December 2009 and both times very satisfied. Will recommend this hotel and only this hotel for family and friends visiting for price, safety and convenience.

Harbor East is the place to stay in Baltimore and this hotel is right in the middle of it. Room is nothing to write home about but it's clean and the bed is decent. Free passes to the nearby Maryland Athletic Club is a huge plus. Staff is very friendly - except for the breakfast team. Some of the city's best restaurants are steps away.
