Traveled with 2 teams of 16 and 18 year old volleyball players and parents from California. We were required to use the tournament housing company, unfortunately the housing company was not near as wonderful as the Hampton Inn Managers and staff. The rooms were incredible, but more importantly for us was the attentiveness of the staff in arranging rooms, accommodating special requests, assisting with arrivals and departures, storing luggage, etc.....I don't know if it is the accommodations or the staff that made the experience we will never ever forget! They even helped us arrange transportation to the airport for planes we were about to miss thanks to the tournament. Thank you Jodie and Peter as well as the rest of your staff!

We came to the Hampton Inn upon the recommendation of friends and were so pleased with everything! The location was perfect and within walking distance of everything. The free breakfasts were much more than we expected and a real treat! The entire staff was friendly and helpful with whatever we needed from housekeeping amenities, to directions, to restaurant recommendations. By the end of our stay, which was just a long weekend, we felt that we knew Taneesha, Paige and Peter from the reception area. They greeted us when we walked in, asked about our day and made us feel at home. Even the guys running to get our car for us were pleasant and extremely helpful. You don't need to stay in one of the large hotels, we had a great suite, with comfy beds and felt welcome evertyime we walked through the front door!.

After having read quite a few good reviews on tripadvisor about this property, I decided to give it a try for a weekend gettaway with my girlfriend.
The service was mediocre, the staff at the Front Desk did not really seem to care about us and special needs (forgot my washing bag at home so I needed razor, toothbrush, shampoo, etc).
The hotel is in a great location- which is why I might return.
Service-vise...I might consider going to a different hotel next time.

We just completed a trip where we stayed at Hamptons along our trip from Pittsburgh to Phillie to Balltimore. Compared to the others, we were disappointed. The location is very good near the Inner Harbor. Other than that, the value is mediocre. The bed was like a hammock and needs replacement. The room was clean and the mini-fridge was useful. One of our family members wanted an extra blanket and we phoned the front desk around 8:00pm. They said they would get back to us and no one responded at all. The parking charge of $32 is outrageous. Be sure to ask for your car at least 20-25 minutes before you need it, because it takes time for them to bring it to the hotel.

I continue to be impressed with Hamton Inns. While it's not the best hotel in town, it's a very good value. It's cost focused but they do a very good job of delivering the best value for the price you pay. The lobby is nice. Much of the hotel is no frills, but it's clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. I would highly recommend it for those traveling on a budget.
