“Very pleasant and popular walking trail”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Trail runs along the old trolley tracks (rails removed and trail paved) from the Catonsville Middle School, through the quiet community of Oella, down to the very popular spot of Old Ellicott City. The trail is moderately difficult walk only because from Ellicott City back up is all up hill. There is a pretty creek along the route and it seems far away from automobile traffic, although it really isn't. There are a couple of small eateries at the bottom end of the trail and, of course, all the shops and restaurants in Old Ellicott City just across the Patapsco River (creek) bridge.

“From Arnold to BWI, around and back!”
Reviewed 5 December 2012

This "trail" is paved, marked, and well traveled. There are runners, joggers, walkers, rollerbladers, and bikers that can be seem on it all year found. The trail is maintained by the county and connects to the B & A trail. I believe it is about 25 miles round trip, but I could be off. There are parts of the trail that run thru Severna Park and you can stop for food, drinks, ice cream and even a bike repair shop. The trail is relatively flat with just a few inclines around the actual airfield area.

Fun path for a daytime family ride.

“12 Mile Loop, moderate hills, lots of trees”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

This loop starts and ends near the Linthicum light rail station. It is about 11 miles long. It passes some horses, emus (?), ball fields, and of course the airport. It has moderate hills and a nice paved path. You can get to the airport terminal on a side path, and to the BWI Business area light rail station. The route is well marked with signs and arrows. There are a few places to stop and eat or get water. You can also go about 20 minutes down Aviation Blvd to the B&A trail, to Annapolis. It's a great ride/walk, plenty of shade trees. By bike, it takes me about 1 hour to do the loop.
