The hotel itself was great, clean, friendly, comfortable. Unfortunately it was robbed one of the evening we stayed. After that we had to show room keys every time we entered. Not the hotel's fault, just in a high crime area of the city.

Hello Heather B,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay and thank you for the opportunity to provide more information on the robbery on Tuesday night, April 22nd. We place the highest importance on the safety and security of our guests. First and foremost, we are thankful that no one was hurt in the unfortunate incident. It is truly unfortunate to see actions taken like this, and it has become too common of an occurrence that can happen anywhere, at any time.
We have already made the following changes to our hotel’s policies and procedures in an effort to enhance the safety and security of both our guests and our associates.
• Overnight security service will now begin at 7PM nightly. The previous start time was 11PM.
• All hotel entrances are now secured at 7PM nightly. Any entry to the building between 7PM and 7AM will require a current guest room keycard, or entry granted from the front desk after verification of name and purpose of visit.
• The front desk staff, security staff and valet parking staff will all be equipped with a wireless notification device that will silently and immediately call for emergency police response.
• We are also working with the City of Baltimore police to visibly increase their presence with more patrols as well as increased visits inside of the building around the clock.

I hope the changes that we have made give you a measure of comfort, knowing that we are taking immediate and decisive action to address safety and security of our hotel. Again, I appreciate the opportunity to provide you more information about our actions in response to the event.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for staying with us, I hope you will come back for another visit soon.

Thank you,
Bill Dillon

as i prepare to check out, im going to leave my review.another absolutley awesome stay here. everything you need is right out the front door. from camden yards right across the street, 4 places to eat & drink on the same block as the hotel. the inner harbor a short 15 minute walk or catch the charm city circular right around the corner.the staff here are the best in the buissness. from valet to front desk to the room cleaners. breakfast buffett was seriously good. changes every day.free coffee & hot tea all day. free popcorn during the afternoon. the only downfall about my stay is the fact i have to leave.

We had a suite that was HUGE! My 12 year old daughter wanted to bring the bed home with her, she thought it was that comfy. Almost immediately at check in, I started to look for Hampton Inn locations for my family beach vacation this summer. The staff at the Baltimore hotel was EXTREMELY helpful and pleasant. The complimentary breakfast buffet was way more than I expected and a nice treat before we headed out for a day of cheer competition.

Hampton Inn delivered what they promise with this hotel. Friendly staff, clean room, wifi, good breakfast. Good location (we took train to Baltimore and then the Light Rail to the property) Did not have time to use the gym or the pool. Good value for the money.

This location is great if you are going to a ball game, or even if you are touring inner harbor which is a few blocks away. The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was good as usual. I also took advantage of the 24 hour coffee that was fresh before I went running at 5 am. BTW, for runners, jog over to inner harbor and run the hills/steps at federal hill for a bit of a workout. Even early, the area is well lit and you won't be alone.

Parking is a bit ridiculous at $34.50 per night, plus valet tip, but I am not sure what else you would do with the car. However, there is a train stop just 1 easy block away.

Hello bgins,

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your remarks about our hotel and the helpful suggestions for runners who stay with us. I do apologize for the parking, it is one of the biggest challenges we face being in downtown Baltimore. I hope that won't keep you from coming back for another visit soon!

What a wonderful stay, the hotel is very good and a wonderful location, close to Camden Yards/M&T Stadium and the Baltimore Inner Harbor. If you are going to see the Baltimore Orioles play, you should really consider this hotel.
