In town for a conference that is based across the street at the Hilton Baltimore Convention Center. This Hampton Inn is around the corner from the Hilton (Washington to Pratt) and is a gem. Colleagues staying at the Hilton have said that their Internet/Wi-Fi has not worked well for three days and assistance is not forthcoming at the hotel. Long lines to check in? Not for me. The Hampton Inn is also sold out (busy conference season and the Orioles are in town) but everything was ready for me upon check-in.

Staff is lovely, from the front desk staff to the breakfast cookers to the housekeepers. All are very positive, smiling staff. Special shout out to Davin at the front desk -- lovely young man!

My room (318) is at the end of the hall, very quiet and nicely proportioned. Love walking just across thestreet to the sports museum and Camden Yards. The only negative keeping me from giving this property a full five stars is the lack of cable channels available: more/better variety would be nice. But that's it! Good free hot breakfast (several types of fruit and two hot items each day, yogurts and oatmeal, waffle station, and very nice juices, not just OJ), lovely people, very clean, super fast in-room Wi-Fi. Much better than my colleagues have at the Hilton, for $87 less per night!!!

Hello CoralGablesGirl,

Thank you for posting a review on Trip Advisor after your recent visit at our Hampton Inn. It’s great when guests take the time to share their experiences to help other travelers plan future business trips, vacations or a weekend get-away.

We especially appreciate all comments, suggestions or ideas included in guest feedback, as they are certainly used when planning enhancements or upgrades. Good news though! We hear when our guests don’t like something and if we can fix it, we will. We are currently working with our cable provider to bring you more TV channels! We are super excited and hopefully your future travels will bring you back to our location and you will see the difference.

Warmest Regards,

Cara DiPietro

Nice room. Great view of Camden Yards. Free wifi. Good breakfast. Free cookies in the afternoon. And they made good on an A/C problem we had. About 1/2 mile away from the Harbor. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean.

My family and I really enjoyed this hotel. Literally right across the street from Camden Yard, it was perfect to park and not have to worry about leaving. Very nice restaurant's right next door that were kid friendly while offering quick service before the game. Pre game activities in the lobby and the staff dress for the game made the atmosphere so fun! The rooms were clean and comfortable! Great stay and a perfect place! (Make sure you print out your directions to the hotel -it's right off Rt 395, but a little quirky getting right into - but don't let this deter you, it's worth it!!)

I came to Baltimore for an Oriols game and I couldn't have picked a better hotel. It is right across the street from Camden Yards and short walk from the restaurents and coffee shops of the inner harbour. The hotel itself is clean and quiet and there's a free wi-fi available. We also had a breakfest which i have no complaints of.
The hotel is easily accessible. We arrived to Baltimore by train and left by bus and we had no problems getting to the hotel from Baltimore's Penn station or getting from the hotel to the Grayhound station using public transportation.

Hello samd65,

Thank you for staying with us. I hope you enjoyed the game! We appreciate the review and are very happy to see you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for mentioning how easy it is to get around Baltimore using public transportation. Between the light rail, the Charm City Circulator and local taxi or car services, it is very easy to get around the city. I hope you will come back and stay with us again.

Overall, this hotel is a nice value for the money. Very clean and comfy rooms. The only drawback is that it does not have valet parking, as advertised. Although you are directed to a nearby garage, it is not particularly convenient.

Hello cwsew,

Thank you for posting a review of your stay with us. I'm glad to see that you enjoyed our hotel, but I'm concerned about your comment about valet parking. We do have valet parking 24 hours as we do not have any self parking option here at the hotel. I've sent you a private message to ask for more information about this, I hope you will take a moment to share more information with me so I can find out what happened. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and hope you will come back for another visit.

Thank you,

The hotel itself was great, clean, friendly, comfortable. Unfortunately it was robbed one of the evening we stayed. After that we had to show room keys every time we entered. Not the hotel's fault, just in a high crime area of the city.

Hello Heather B,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay and thank you for the opportunity to provide more information on the robbery on Tuesday night, April 22nd. We place the highest importance on the safety and security of our guests. First and foremost, we are thankful that no one was hurt in the unfortunate incident. It is truly unfortunate to see actions taken like this, and it has become too common of an occurrence that can happen anywhere, at any time.
We have already made the following changes to our hotel’s policies and procedures in an effort to enhance the safety and security of both our guests and our associates.
• Overnight security service will now begin at 7PM nightly. The previous start time was 11PM.
• All hotel entrances are now secured at 7PM nightly. Any entry to the building between 7PM and 7AM will require a current guest room keycard, or entry granted from the front desk after verification of name and purpose of visit.
• The front desk staff, security staff and valet parking staff will all be equipped with a wireless notification device that will silently and immediately call for emergency police response.
• We are also working with the City of Baltimore police to visibly increase their presence with more patrols as well as increased visits inside of the building around the clock.

I hope the changes that we have made give you a measure of comfort, knowing that we are taking immediate and decisive action to address safety and security of our hotel. Again, I appreciate the opportunity to provide you more information about our actions in response to the event.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for staying with us, I hope you will come back for another visit soon.

Thank you,
Bill Dillon
