“Gramercy Mansion is perfect for a romantic getaway without having to travel far.”

We have stayed at Gramercy Mansion twice in 2011 and have fallen in love with the place! The mansion itself is so beatiful and has so much to explore and see. The room we have stayed in both times is absolutely gorgeous, complete with everything you could imagine for a super-romantic getaway. The staff is very friendly, helpful and make customer service a priority. We had breakfast in our room both times, it came delivered on beautiful china and the presentation of the food was amazing. The food tasted as good as it looked and the choices seemed endless. I definitely look forward to our next stay at Gramercy.

My wife and I wanted a quick and relaxing get away. Just wanted to have no worries for a day. The Gracercy hit the mark. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The grounds were well kept. Breakfast was great. The staff was wonderful!!! We will return and would recommend!

Overall our stay at the Gramercy was perfect. The bed, unlike so many hotels, was super comfortable, like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. The room was clean and freshened up daily by housekeeping. Breakfast, at our choosing, was served to us in our room daily, with a courtesy call prior to it arriving. The rooms have TVs, microwaves and mini fridges, plus glass wares, silver ware, coffee makers, with coffee and teas provided. Small details are not over looked.

Great place to stay. The room was big, bed very comfortable ,spotless, great in room amenities, lovely grounds, and staff was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet at night. I am looking forward to going back. The location is perfect for many day trips for antiques as well as medical appointments at Johns Hopkins Green Springs. Great restaurants close by.

This is an amazing place. The room was new, and to die for. The staff helped us with every neeed and desire. I took my wife there for our 17th Anniversary just to get away from the every day stress. The grounds are beautiful and the food was spectacular. I wish I could have spent more time there. Its a must to get away and enjoy a great B and B.

My husband I live a few miles away from The Gramercy Mansion, but from the minute we drove onto the property, we felt as though we'd taken a step into a different time and place. Our world was suddenly immersed in warmth and whimsy.
We were warmly greeted and shown to our room. We stayed in the Magnolia Room, one of the smaller ones, but it was simply lovely. Warm yellows and golds enveloped us and gave us the feeling of being in a warm cocoon. There was a single red rose on the vanity, a candle, plush terry cloth robes, wonderfully huge towels......everything needed to set the scene for a romantic evening.
After dropping our things off, we went out to explore the mansion and the grounds. I could have spent hours just perusing the artwork that infused every inch of space in every room. Everything had a warm, rich and inviting feel to it.
At that point we met Romeow, the mansion's live-in cat. A giant ball of white fur. We made friends, and Romeow proceeded to accompany us around the house, and then requested that we let him out for a stroll. We obliged.
While spring hasn't quite made an appearance yet, the signs of its imminent arrival could be seen all around. Shoots peeking through the dried leaves, buds on the trees, the birds signing, the air.....it's all there, all the ingredients that will come together and burst forth in verdant grandeur in just a few weeks. What a great place to witness all of this. Our exploration of the grounds was just lovely. So much to see and experience; from wide views of the surrounding farms, to stumbling on a pair of giant frogs having a conversation in the woods......simply magical.
Our only disappointment was with our bed later that night. It was not very comfortable, and neither one of us slept well at all. But I won't linger on that, because the rest was so fantastic that a sleepless night is all but forgotten.

Breakfast was spectacular. To come downstairs and walk into the beauty of the breakfast room was certainly the right way to start the day. Our coffee was rich and delicious, the house juice tart and refreshing, and our meals just scrumptious! My husband had the French Toast, and I the Eggs Benedict. Two thumbs up for sure!
We also had the pleasure of Romeow's company as we ate our breakfast. :)

Thank you Gramercy for a wonderful experience. We will certainly be back the next time we need a romantic getaway!
