I used a Groupon - great idea because I never would have known about such a place! I am still in awe! Each room is themed to a particular hobby, interest or accomplishment of Charles Carroll of the 1800's. The rooms contain a wonderful album of the history of the Inn, Charles Carroll, and the local area, as well as a journal to write your own personal comments in. A set of china teacups and nice variety of teas is set out on the table for you as well. We stayed in the Scholar's Room and honestly did not want to leave. It was luxurious and homey. There was even a single red rose in a vase on the mantle! We loved it so much that we returned 2 nights later on our return trip and tried the Equestrian Room, which is smaller and cheaper (they ave us a 30% discount for booking midweek) but also nice, although you do get the road noise on that side of the building which you do not get on the courtyard side. The service is outstanding in every way. You have a menu on your door to select the breakfast items you want, the time you want your breakfast, and also the option of having coffee, tea, etc. delivered to your door ahead of time - no extra charge for that, or for the sodas and waters they place in your mini-fridge. They provide beautiful terrycloth robes and many large, plush towels for your bathing/hottub experience. Each of our rooms had an electric fireplace that produced heat - which we were thankful for the night after a 40 degree ballgame at Camden Yards! A parking discount is offered for a nearby garage, but we found street parking both nights. We were able to walk through Little Italy to the Inner Harbor - an easy walk if you are used to walking, but we used the bus the next time as it was very cold out-it comes by the Inn every 10 minutes and is free. A taxi home from Camden Yards (walking late at night is not advised) was only $4. You will want to eat in Little Italy, but your breakfast will carry you through lunch most likely! We also visited the Aquarium (get your tickets ahead of time for timed entries), Fort McHenry and Fells Point. If you want a fabulous experience - stay at this Inn! A Groupon is nice, but it is worth the full price anyway!

Room Tip: Stay on the courtyard side for a quieter room.

We tried the 1840s Carrollton Inn using a Groupon and were quite impressed. The room was great, the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance to most of the Inner Harbor attractions and water taxi, and just a few blocks away from Little Italy. And the breakfast was great. This place is beautifully furnished, charming and a good value. We definitely will return on the future!

While it was easy to tell this is a corporate owned location, unlike other B&Bs, we felt the staff still had a warmth and friendliness about them. Very accommodating and generous with help and guidance a well as an amazing breakfast brought right to the room. We will definitely return!! Great time!

My husband and I stayed here for the night with a groupon. What a great deal $99 for a Saturday night less than a block from the heart of Little Italy. Three floors, fast elevator or steps if you like. Large rooms (their website shows all the details of the different rooms). Breakfast was delivered to our room and the missing decaf coffee was fixed with a quick phone call to the front desk. I highly recommend this Inn/B&B if you are in Baltimore.

We chose to stay here for our 32nd wedding anniversary and it was wonderful! We stayed in suite 101, and it was beautiful, private, romantic and everything we could have hoped for. We sat on the patio for afternoon relaxation. Diane, one of the innkeepers, was so helpful - she recommended places to go for entertainment and food and not one of her suggestions was off the mark.
The breakfasts were well prepared. The location,(one block from Little Italy, a couple of blocks from the Inner Harbor, and 1/2 block from the FREE bus line that took us everywhere we wanted to go, if we could not walk) was so convenient.
We are looking forward to going back, and it is unlikely we will wait until our 33rd wedding anniversary....maybe a 6 month return?

I had booked three nights here as a surprise getaway for my boyfriend's 30th birthday and used a groupon, which was fantastic! We stayed in the Annapolis suite and it didn't disappoint! I took careful consideration in choosing this room based on the website, which was a perfect representation of the room. The king size sleigh bed with a leather headboard was heavenly with luxurious bedding, plush mattress, and a beautiful bedspread. The sitting area was cozy with a loveseat, a nice flat screen tv and an electric fireplace which was great for romantic ambiance. There was a two person table which we utilized for breakfast and the first night in for dinner. They provided everything we needed. The bathroom was the best!! The jacuzzi tub was relaxing and huge. The shower was perfect water pressure, temperature and very spacious. Our room overlooked the courtyard which I enjoyed. It seems that other reviewers had noise issues; I assure you this room was quiet and peaceful and we slept like a baby all three nights.

The staff also made our stay special and especially enjoyable. We are night owls and were up and down enjoying the gorgeous weather in March at night by walking the courtyard & enjoying our wine we brought and each others company. We bugged them several times for things we needed and they always helped us out and went the extra mile to bring it to us. I feel pampered and catered to. They were fantastic!

The breakfast each morning were the best! Neither of us are breakfast people really (we're up too late to enjoy breakfast usually) but we both decided that since we were on vacation we should try it, so the first morning I got the Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend got the french toast. We both loved it! I like to try different things so I got an omelet the second day while my bf enjoyed the french toast again, but the third morning I got the yummy french toast and he tried the Eggs Benedict and he said that was his favorite...it was mine too. Their juices were the best I've tasted: the OJ was really tasty but their house juice was a cranberry/Oj mix and it was pretty spectacular as well.

The location was ideal. The B&B is located right by Little Italy and we walked pretty much everywhere around. We ventured to Inner Harbor and enjoyed several places and sites around there. It wasn't too bad of a walk and we were fortunate enough to have gorgeous weather for our entire stay. We would love to see Baltimore in the summer. The cherry blossoms were gorgeous and in bloom while we were there. We couldn't have picked a more perfect week to visit.

Tasha was probably the most helpful. She was there to greet us when we checked in and her warmth and personality were a perfect representation of the B&B to us. The next day when we saw her, she was just as congenial and helpful as the last time we saw her and even helped navigate us to some places to eat. Her smile and helpfulness are what made the experience so personable to us and we are excited to come back again! Thank you all so much for making our experience fantastic!

Room Tip: The Annapolis Suite was the most expensive I believe, but it was WELL WORTH IT!!

This Bed n Breakfast is beautiful. The room was large and extremely comfortable. We sat outside on the patio in the evening and enjoyed the courtyard. The staff was very helpful and extremely pleasant. The location is wonderful being close to Little Italy, the inner harbour and Fels Point. We plan to stay there again.
