“Fall back into time, experience well appointed luxury with a dash of history”

This was not my first stay here at the "Inn". In fact, as you stroll the beautiful courtyard of the adjoining properties you'll discover the relationship of the three buildings and the history before you. As you stand in the center of the graceful, brick and wrought iron, arched entrance way, you hardly notice the bricks at your feet that create an extensive basket weave pattern, each brick being carved with initials and dates. To the unknowing it's unnoticed, but to the owners of the initials, each brick represents a date never to be forgotten, their wedding. A unique fundraiser to help offset the upkeep of the historical side of very lovely, back in time, in the middle of city like Baltimore ("Charm" city no less). Yes the rooms are each unique, each one different than the other. From the modest of the group, the "Congressional Room", to the "Carroll Suite", the largest and oldest room, dating from the 1790's, it features a sitting room w/original fireplace and daybed with courtyard and city views, complete w/4 skylights. The bedroom has the grandest four-poster king sized canopy bed complete with little step stools. Ahh, the modern convenience of a double whirlpool bath surrounded by red and white mosaic granite. Did I mention a separate shower. Each room has decor and furnishings that somehow carry you to a different time and place, yet just outside, across the street is Baltimore!
I held my oldest daughters wedding here. Start to finish, the entire event. The ceremony and small reception were actually in the upstairs level of their museum (son-in-law was a history major, with Thomas Jefferson and Mr.Carrolton his favs that he wrote a book about) So when I presented this as a venue for the entire wedding event he and his family were speechless. People don't know what's in their own back yard, is a phrase I've come to better understand the more I travel at home.

Room Tip: The only thing to say is each room is different, pick according to budget or color or historical pre...

I recently visited Baltimore, September 2013... and we stayed in the Diplomat Suite... The best word to describe the room is "beautiful"! It really doesn't get any better than this... If you want a romantic stay, this is the place! The suite was very well appointed... and the breakfast was very tasty! I really couldn't be happier with my stay! The staff was very nice... Tracy was very customer focused and did a great job of making us feel welcome! And the location is also awesome... When I return to Baltimore, this is where I will stay. LOVED IT!!!

Room Tip: Loved the Diplomat Suite! It was beautiful!

Stayed in the Annapolis Suite for our Anniversary. Rooms are beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The location is excellent---within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and interesting areas of Baltimore. From here you can walk to the Inner Harbor, around Little Italy, and to Fell's Point. There is also a free bus called the City Circulator which you can hop on to get to other areas of the city. While technically a B & B, the 1840's Carrollton Inn offers a lot of privacy with options to get your delicious breakfast in your room, in the garden courtyard or in the dining room. They thought of a lot of the details and we had an excellent time. Thanks!

My wife and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary at the 1804s Carrollton Inn. This is a beautiful, romantic inn with great history. We stayed in the Annapolis Suite. Everything was completely updated and tastefully decorated while keeping the historical charm. I don't remember sleeping so well in any other hotel. The staff was excellent and the breakfast served in our room was fantastic. We both enjoyed the house omelette. The location is perfect, just two short blocks to Little Italy where there are dozens of restaurants to choose from. Also in short walking distance is the "Power Plant", Baltimore's night life epicenter, as well as the Inner Harbor. After seeing all the sites, our favorite spot was still the room. It was really hard to leave. Thanks so much for a great stay. We hope to be back soon.

This Select Registry B&B is in a terrific location for sightseeing in downtown Baltimore. It is close to Little Italy where the food is wonderful and just a few blocks from the harbor action. We enjoyed a stroll to one of the hotels on the waterfront for dinner and then walked back through Little Italy for a taste of that part of town.

The B&B has everything you need to have a very pleasureable and romatic experience. The outdoor patio area is shaded and offers a nice peaceful place to have breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine outside after dinner.

Our room, the Senator, was well appointed. The double bath has brass duck head faucets and handles...quite original! The bath experience was fun and memorable.

Room Tip: If you're looking for "quiet" room, ask for a room that is not facing Albermarle Stre...

After a couple previous visits we decided to come back on our mini-moon. Great service, location and room amenities. Every detail has been addressed. I don't think I can come up with anything they missed the mark on. We will be back...soon!

We had a great stay here. It was a beautiful B&B and very romantic. The room was a little tight and did not leave a lot of room for luggage, but for the price and quality, it was great. The bathroom definitely made the place, as well as the big comfy bed. The food was great as well. The area is a little questionable at night, but we did not have any problems. It is in great proximity to the Harbor and mall. We felt like the only ones there and the only time we were aware of others was at breakfast.
