“Great oyster and service but the rest is lacking”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

The moment we walked in without a reservation everyone made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Our waiter was Travis and he was very good and informative. We order a mixture of 18 oyster and they were fantastic. We also ordered the Caesar Salad. The salad was extremely large but it had way too much dressing. The was crisp and cold but I recommend asking for less dressing. My husband order the crab cakes and they were fair. There are much better crab cakes in Baltimore. They had fresh Alaskan Halibut served with a hash which was terrible. The fish was subpar I can buy a better piece of fish at my local fish market. It appeared to be a low grade of Halibut. Restaurants normally get the best pieces. I asked for the sauce on the side and the sauce was very flavorful and good. It masks the poor quality of the fish.

“Great Food and Great Service”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

We were in Baltimore for a show and had dinner at Oceanaire. Some of the reviews worried me but this place was great! Our server (Earl) was very attentive, even after the restaurant started to get very busy. The food was fantastic. My daughter said her filet mignon was the best she ever had. We all shared each others dishes and I loved it all. From drinks to desserts, everything was outstanding.

“Really nice for a chain restaurant”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

It was very nice, especially for seafood fans. The wine list is extensive and excellent. The desserts were TOTALLY TO DIE FOR. We had the caramel chocolate cake and it was like food porn, I kid you not. The other diners were all staring as the waiter presented the dish with quite a flourish. Wow!

“Excellent Food, Okay Service”
Reviewed 21 March 2014 via mobile

This is an attractive restaurant. Everything we tried was great: calamari, blue cheese and Bibb lettuce salad, house salad, crab cakes, grilled sea bass, steak and shrimp. The wine list had some great selections, although prices were a little steep. Service was friendly but a little uneven. We were unattended for several stretches - between drinks and ordering, waiting for the check, waiting for the check to be picked up. Pace is important, and there's a difference between leisurely and slow.

“bar food and service need a wake up call”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

Saturday night, the bar was not very crowded, bartenders were very focused on each other and not so much on the customers, it took 20 minutes and 3 requests to get 4 oysters, and when they came, there was no apology or human interaction about the gaffe. The drink was flat and begrudgingly changed...all this was done politely on all our parts, but the place was definitely not customer-centric in any way. Just sleepy. and at $14 for a glass of wine, probably should be better, don't you think? And that's a shame, because we came here a few years ago, and it was totally awesome. And now, it's ok.
