I was quite disappointed with this hotel. The best part was its location so close to the convention center but otherwise I should have stayed at a different hotel.
First, there's only two elevators and one was broken the entire 7 days I stayed. They told us the first days that it would be fixed by the end of the week. With so many conference attendees, you had to wait sometimes 10 minutes for the only functional elevator.
Second, the fitness room is so small. Only four machines. It was packed on the first day and after that no one came again but we found a dead cockroach near one of the machines.
Third, the billing system did not know how to split costs. They also charged cards, not just hold charges on several of my team members. Due to this, they couldn't pay for meals, etc. I ended up paying for all rooms and parking for the week on my corporate card. But charges were still on others cards for a few days. This was very inconvenient for all attendees.
The nice part of the hotel is the option of parking being a single card you can swipe in and out your entire stay, though it's $26 a day.
It's a old building that they have tried to update but the rooms are small and bathroom is tight. One day the city mainline broke but we were not informed. There was brown gross cold water coming out of the shower and sink. Some of our team couldn't take showers in prep for the conference day. The bed is okay but I would like a nicer comforter. It was very thin and the pillows were small.
They should have reimbursed us for all these issues and the inconvenience of the elevators.
The hotel is clean, affordable and has excellent customer service. It's very convenient to the Inner Harbor.
I have been staying at this hotel for the past 4 years and it keeps getting better. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The front desk and lobby has been renovated and looks amazing. The Harbor Gril is nice, and have good food at decent prices. Check out the bar and there drink specials from 5-7PM. Overall, the room was neat, clean, and comfortable bed/pillows. The inner harbor is a short walking distance away. Check out the Mc Cormick store at the harbor. Great spices you cant find anywhere.
Best place to stay and worth the money.
