“Modern hotel, good location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2012

I found this hotel to be comfortable, modern, and well situated. The food at the hotel was great and catered to healthy options. It is in a great location! I recommend walking north to Water Street. A small historical street with outside dining/drinks. Fun to see this cobble stone side street among all the tall modern buildings. Also, an easy walk to Fells Point. What a great little piece of our country Fells Point is. Would go back in a heart beat. We were warned to stay close to the harbor. I guess the crime/homeless rate is high.
Also, highly recommend dining at Miss Shirly's Diner for breakfast and Mr. Rains Fun House for dinner.

Room Tip: Room 1426 does not have a good place to keep your soaps and shampoo in the shower. The recent renov...

Attended a 4-day meeting here. The hotel is directly on the waterfront. Ask for a room with a view. Food at the meeting was remarkably good. I also ate at the hotel restaurant, which was good but a little pricey.

Room was very nice and in good repair. Appreciated the magnifying mirror in the bathroom so that I could see how to put on makeup.

Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: ask for a waterfront room.

Very much enjoyed the stay. Walkway from hotel to inner harbor really helpful and the view from the hotel was outstanding. A bit pricey but given the view understandable. Double beds only slightly bigger than a single. Second floor under some type of construction but had to walk through and around in order to get to walkway since I was told that other walkway was closed. Very courteous valet and front desk staff. All in all a great place to stay at the Inner harbor.

I stayed two nights at the Hyatt for a professional meeting in Baltimore and was not disappointed. A no-nonsense modern hotel with all the conveniences for the business professional. Situated near Baltimore's lovely Inner Harbor, the Hyatt's decor reflect an ultramodern approach combining an atrium with lots of natural light. The several levels make the space very functional and without a crowded feeling. The meeting rooms provided modern and well-equipped spaces. An athletic center open 24/7 was well equipped and nicely organized. I found my room very comfortable, tastefully decorated with comfortable bed and large windows. The view was superb. There is an additional charge for wifi.

There is an elegant restaurant, Bistro 300, which serves an excellent breakfast buffet and has a comfortable bar. There is also a coffee shop for less formal moments. The top floor also offers an excellent banquet space with impressive views of the harbor and downtown Baltimore.

Its location relative to the harbor area and downtown is excellent; several in our group walked toward Little Italy to enjoy some delightful food. While the hotel has the feel of a large convention business hotel, the staff was helpful and very personable, making the stay comfortable. Not sure this Hyatt works as well for more family-oriented trips.

Upside: Great location--right on the harbor with easy access to the shops. If you don't opt to pay the extra $50 per night for a harbor view room, you can still see the view from the glass elevators and rooftop bar.

The food is good, the rooms are clean and the ambience and feel of the hotel are nice. For small conventions it has decent space and is very convenient.

Downside: despite knowing a convention was coming, the hotel was not equipped to handle the volume of people in the restaurant and the room service orders. Our first two nights we had to wait an hour to be fed, so the remaining nights we went off site. It's walking distance to a few places to eat, luckily.

The coffee shop, Perks, closes down at 2pm every day. To expect convention attendees to not be able to grab a cappuccino or latte whenever they want to was ridiculous.

When I made my reservation, I requested a Respire room and didn't get one--sold out when I arrived for check-in (around 6pm Sunday evening). However, they compensated us by giving us Harbor View instead.

Room Tip: Club level (12th floor) is $50 more per night--might be worth it if there are more than 2 of you, th...

I stayed here for a few nights as part of a conference being run in the hotel. The positives were the rooms were nice and large, with good views and lots of windows and the staff were friendly and very attentive. We were especially helped out by the manager of the business center, who was extremely good.

The main negative i found was that the restaurant onsite was not really up to scratch (although there are plenty of good options outside the hotel so it is not a massive issue) and that the corridors/rooms could be pretyy noisy at times.
