“Historic stroll”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

We just happened to come across this cemetery. Decided to walk through and look at some of the headstones. Some very important historical figures are buried here. Some of the headstones are so old you can't even read them. The trees with hanging moss that surround the area are just beautiful. We were a family and walked through during the day. I don't think I could handle it at night or a ghost tour, but I'm sure that would be an experience. No cost to enjoy the cemetery. After awhile my kids got bored and it was so hot we continued on, but a nice area for a quick historic walk.

“Colonial Park Cemetary”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

Sherman's boys recreated some of the tombstones with hilarious results. Go all the way to the far east wall and view the stones on the wall.

“Creepy cool”

We visited during the day time and then at night during a ghost tour. The headstones on the back wall were interesting.

“Day or night”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

I have been here on a couple of different trips to Savannah. I have seen it in the evening and during the day. I cannot express how this place impressed me. There is a lot of history here.

“Silent testament to war hostilities”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

Enjoyed the stroll through this cemetery. The damage done to the headstones and even those many that were displaced by Union soldiers and leaning against the back wall a silent testament to the hostilities of the time. There continues to be obvious effort to maintain this and cherish this historic cemetery.
