“Christmas Production”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

This "Christmas Tradition" production was excellent. It offered a great blend of humor, music, secular, and religious. The quality was superior. Parts of the production were well performed traditional and other parts were new. If you want to laugh and sit back and enjoy yourself, go see the "Christmas Tradition"

“Spectacular Christmas Show!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

Each year as the Christmas season approaches, we take our children to the Savannah Theater for their Christmas show. Again this year, we stopped our busy schedules for the day and drove to Savannah. It was a wonderful show highlighting the true reason for the season. The show is filled with songs about Jesus and his birth, remembering the spiritual side and not just the secular side with Santa. Goose Creek, SC native, Charles Ancheta plays the piano in the orchestra. As always the program is one of the highlights of this season for our family. If you are looking for a holiday tradition, I would highly recommend this show. It is worth the drive. Several of the songs and the way they deliver them will bring tears to your eyes. My favorite song, again this year features the Angel Gabriel appearing to Mary. It was sung in a round with the response of Mary and Joseph. Simply put...it was spectacular!

“Fantastic Show!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

After our Great THANKSGIVING supper at the "Olde Pink House" we had reservations to see the show " A Christmas Tradition" at the Historic Savannah Theater. A FANTASTIC SHOW in every way. It had everything from singing, dancing, a play and comedy. The performers were awesome!
What really hit home is reminded everyone of the true spirit of Christmas, the birth of our Lord and giving to others with a cheerful heart. If this show does not lift your spirits and put you in a Christmas mood, nothing will. So glad we attended and the performers are fantastic people.

“Branson MO in Savannah GA”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2013

I have rated this terrible because I hate institutions that promote themselves in a way that rises them to the top of the Trip Advisor ladder. I want to bring the average down! The cast were pushing the audience to rate them on TripAdvisor.

I was in Savannah for the first time and only had one evening free. Savannah is of course famed for its historic architecture and pre Civil War feeling. This theater is the oldest continually operating theater in the United States. I was a bit alarmed by the "Juke Box" show, but thought, why not in an old quaint theater.

But that is where I was wrong. Inside the theater you are greeted by a 1950's Cadillac trunk style sofa and everything inside is newish, you might as well be anywhere, Branson in fact. The show itself was slick and very professional, nothing bad about it at all. But you can see such a show anywhere and the setting inside was anywhere. I felt cheated that I had not researched the "old" theater enough and went by the Trip Advisor rating.

So be warned that the "oldest continually-operating theater" in the USA is not that quaint at all. Go there for the show, not for Savannah.
