“Pure Southern Hospitality!”
Reviewed 25 July 2012

We just returned from a stay at the Eliza Thompson house. It was perfect! Nell and Kevin were awesome! The room was clean and very romantic. It was quiet as well. Our bathroom was spacious enough, about what you would get at a hotel. We will stay at this B&B for years to come!

The ET House is a lovely B&B in the historical district of Savannah. It has quaint furnishings, friendly staff, breakfast, and snacks. A great location for strolling Savannah! However, furnishings need a good cleaning.

My husband and I were truly impressed at the elegance and service at this extraordinary hotel. Our room had a spacious bathroom and a separate sitting area. For the money, this is the BEST place to stay in such a lovely city--the hotel pampered us beyond our expectations. Jones Street is one of the prettiest in Savannah--it was thrilling to pretend that we were residents on this street for the 24 hrs we stayed there. The courtyard breakfast was delicious and contained a variety of delicious choices (pancakes, fruit, quiche, hashbrowns, yogurt, etc.) The evening desserts were just as amazing; we also enjoyed the wine reception. We will not only come back here, but I promised the very friendly staff that I would be on Trip Advisor singing their praises.

My husband and I recently stayed here and it exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, quiet and a great size for two people. Our room was on the third floor and overlooked the courtyard. The bathrooms are small, but exactly what you would expect in house from the 1800's.
The staff was friendly and met us at the door. A daily wine a cheese service, as well as coffee and dessert in the evenings was always delicious. The breakfast was less formal than other B&B's, which we preferred. It was a continental breakfast, with a variety of food, served in the courtyard area.

As far as location, it is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. We liked the location because it was quiet, but it is quite a walk to the River/Market areas.

Room Tip: We heard some rooms are haunted, we did not stay in one of them.

The room was very nice. I have stayed at B&B's for over a decade. I have never stayed at one where the breakfast was so Holiday Inn Express-like. Normally it is served to you and, at times, there are choices on the menu. Even if not, it is more of a upscale breakfast. It was very disappointing.

Room Tip: Room 32 was awesome.

The Eliza Thompson House is a gem in the beautiful HIstoric District. The Inn is beautiful and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. I went with two friends for an extended "Girls Weekend" and it could not have been more perfect. Our room was absolutely perfect for 3 friends and the courtyard in the back for breakfast is a little slice of heaven. You will so happy you booked your stay here. I will be returning for another visit in the near future.

Room Tip: If possible stay in the main house. The cool thing about this property is that is suppose to be hau...

We stayed here in April 2012 and had a wonderful stay! The place is supposed to have 2 haunted rooms but, fortunately, we didn't get one! The room we got was beautiful and looked vintage! The wine and cheese party that evening had tasty appetizers and good wine! The dessert and coffee was a nice way to end a hectic and fun day! The buffet breakfast was fabulous! This B and B is located VERY convenient to the entire historic district.
I will absolutely go back and recommend to my friends and family!!!

Room Tip: No restaurant, my rating is for the breakfast!
