“A Garden of Delights”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

On our first trip to Savannah we found a garden of delights at the Amethyst Inn. The inn is a beautiful Victorian, decorated with antiques and flowers. The guest rooms are charming, comfortable and spotlessly clean. In the heart of the historic district, it felt like stepping back in time, but with modern conveniences. Rocky and Jane are the most gracious, accommodating hosts, a fountain of information for any question you have. Breakfasts were varied, healthy and delicious, and Jane's cookie and snack bar is the best. Thoughtful touches like that, plus the warm and welcoming atmosphere, made our stay in Savannah one of the highlights of our trip through the South. Thanks, Rocky and Jane, for a most enjoyable and memorable stay!

I have to agree with all of the 5 star reviews. Rocky and Jane were wonderful. Their home is lovely. Breakfast was out of this world (best grits I've ever had). They were extremely kind and helpful acquainting my fiancé and I with Savannah's sights to see. Jane recommended Alligator Soul for dinner, made our reservations, and we certainly enjoyed the fine cuisine. The grounds are lovely, there are a myriad of rooms and several suites from which to choose to satisfy almost anyone's preferences, and the home is pet friendly as is the entire city. We loved our stay and will be back!

This is the place to stay if you're in Savannah to experience the historic, welcoming, and beautiful Savannah. You'll be staying in an historic Victorian home, welcomed by Jane & Rocky - two of the most accommodating and gracious hosts you'll find anywhere - and you'll be in the midst of beautiful old town Savannah. Take advantage of their immense knowledge of the local area and you'll not be led astray. We've been here before and we'll be back again. It's an incredibly relaxing old South experience. The true decompressing vacation.

My husband and I were looking for a weekend get-a-way and we found it! Jane and Rocky are the perfect hosts. They have a lovely home and the food was delicious- thanks again Jane!. Rocky set us up with maps, a list of things to do, and offered to make reservations and help with anything we needed. You will feel right at home here. We plan to come back and stay again!

Jane & Rocky were incredibly welcoming from the get-go, asking us about ourselves and providing detailed information on things to do in Savannah while we snacked on delicious homemade marshmallows. We stayed in the Rose room, which was small but cozy. The breakfast was tasty and there were so many options to choose from, including homemade granola and fresh fruit. The tea selection was a bit lacking, but my boyfriend and I are sort of tea snobs. :) My favorite part of our whole trip was cooling off in the pool after a hot day picking berries at the botanical gardens. It had just become slightly cloudy and we dried off by taking a nap on their comfy pool lounges. Jane & Rocky provided amazing service and company when we wanted it and left us to relax when it was appropriate - they weren't "in your face" at all like some B&B owners. Their prices weren't ideal for people on a limited budget, but they are fair compared to others in the area. Perfect for a relaxing and chill getaway.

Room Tip: The rose room has a tiny shower not ideal for larger guests, and a tiny tube TV, but it has a great...

My wife bought me a birthday getaway to Savannah. She was able to find this gem located right near Forsyth Park.(And they were family friendly. A hard thing to find at b&bs.) The suite was very spacious and clean. Rocky and Jane make you feel like part of their family. They really know their city and give you great suggestions on what to do,see, and eat. Even little known local spots.
Now down to my highlight of all b&bs.....THE FOOD. Jane's breakfast everyday had to be the best breakfast home cooking I have every tasted. Endless options from the BakedFrench Toast to the Quiche to the Cheesy Grits.....the food alone is worth the flight back. My wife enjoyed her time talking with Jane and eating her homemade chocolates and cookies(A favorite of my son). We enjoyed our time in their home. We plan on making a trip back with the extended family. My

I recently stayed at the Amethyst in with my parents celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. We were only in Savannah for one night and Jane & Rocky doubled as our tour guides. When we got there they provided a map with hand written notes on what to do/see around Savannah. They also went above and beyond to make us reservations at a great restaurant that we really enjoyed. Sarah is also an excellent cook, breakfast was delicious and all the sweet treats she has around the house were wonderful. Overall our stay was great, the breakfast was great, the room was clean and spacious (Ivy Suite), the courtyard was peaceful, the Jane & Rocky went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our stay. We could have asked for anything better!

Room Tip: Ivy room as a private entrance and 2 beds. One bed is in a bedroom and the other is in a living roo...
