This was one of the best B & Bs I have ever stayed in. Leslie showed me true southern hospitality. This was my first trip alone, and it was wonderful. Leslie and her staff were warm and intelligent. They really make you feel spoiled. I can't wait for my next visit. It was truly perfect. This sleepy town is really something out of a novel, very romantic, full of characters, and just beautiful.

We fell in love with Savannah on our first visit mainly because of this delightful B & B. A gracious host with lots of tips on things to see and do. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more Southern cooking. They do everything right.

Great location. Forsythe Park is only a few steps away, with a beautiful walk down Bull Street from the park to River Street. If walking doesn't appeal to you, there is a DOT shuttle stop approximately 2 blocks away which runs every 20 minutes or so. This was our third trip to Savannah, and the first two times we stayed on Bay Street, which is extremely loud and very busy. Catherine Ward House is a complete contrast, being in a quiet residential setting, with a truly relaxing atmosphere.

The hospitality of our hostess and her staff went far beyond any expectation we may have had. Detail, detail, detail - from fresh flowers in the room to fresh coffee left at our door at 6 AM. Breakfast was outstanding and delicious - real food beautifully served. Even in winter, the inn's courtyard was handsome with displays of potted pansies and a lovely small fountain and fish pond - a great place to rejuvenate after a day of sightseeing!

This inn should be a destination for anyone seeking a beautiful location for a relaxing getaway. It sure proved to be an enjoyable experience for us!

As all of the reviews have said, the owner is most welcoming and knowledgeable. The breakfasts are delicious, and the rooms are tastefully decorated.

Location: We chose this spot for its quiet location away from the tourist area, but within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house is in a residential neighborhood right off one of the squares.

Rooms: We and some friends of ours booked the Sea Trade Room and the Cosmopolitan Room. Both were large and accommodating. The bathrooms were large, bright and clean. The Cosmo room gets more light because it is on the top floor, but both are beautiful. The public living room and dining room are beautifully decorated, with many brochures and informative literature about Savannah.

Food: The breakfast is delicious, with a lovely presentation. Coffee was also good and strong.

Leslie, the owner, is a wealth of information. We saw her welcome honeymooners and help with guests whose dog was ill, as well as direct us to the places we wanted to see. I would highly recommend this Inn.

The inn was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was fantastic. The inn's staff was friendly, helpful and not overbearing. We stayed for 3 nights in the Hibernian Room. The bathroom is a bit tight, but the closet and luggage space is helpful and makes the room very comfortable. If you're traveling with a small dog the room size is just fine. If you are an active person, Forsyth Park is just steps from the inn which is perfect for morning runs/walks and playing tennis. If you're traveling with your pet, being so close to Forsyth is a huge plus. The inn is also a stone's throw to the Sentient Bean, a great local coffee shop. This is one of the best B & B stays we've ever had. My husband and I used to live in Savannah and visit the City to see friends - we definitely plan to stay here again.

We don't even know how to begin to review such a great weekend. My wife and I stayed here on a long four day weekend. When we arrive at the catherine ward house we were greeted by Leslie who shared tons of useful information for our trip. We state inthe captains room which was very comfortable and relaxing. We were supplied with excellent toiletries, and soft drink and water stocked mini fridge. After a trip out kn our first day, we came back to find fresh cut flowers in our room and bathroom. On our last night, we came back to find candles left on the two person hot tub which we found to be a nice touch. Breakfast was extremely tasty and prepared by a chef. The portions were very hearty, so bring an appetite! These little details are definitely things you can't find at hotels.
