We stayed here for our first visit to Savannah. I can't say enough about our wonderful hosts Leslie and Sonia. The house and rooms are very charming. For more privacy I suggest the bottom floors that have a private entrace. We were in town for a wedding and Leslie gave us the bottom floor to ourselves. We had a patio right outside our room with a fountain filled with koi fish. Will definately return.

Room Tip: bottom floor rooms

My wife and I stayed this weekend at the Catherine Ward House in Savannah and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Leslie and Sonia couldn't have been more helpful in making our first time in Savannah so much fun. All of their suggestions regarding as to where to eat and what to do, paid off handsomely. The house itself was charming and was extremely well maintained, The Sea Traders room, in which we stayed, had both a working fireplace and a spa tub. Leslie's breakfasts were terrific! The Inn is centrally located near Forsyth Park which enabled my wife and I to walk everywhere in the historic district with relative ease. We are looking forward to returning there someday.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back were very quiet. The Sea Trader room was both large and well furnished with comfor...

My husband and I booked a room here mainly because it was one of the few pet friendly b & b's in Savannah. We only saw all the great reviews after booking and then knew we were in for a treat. The house itself is beautiful and in a great part of town--right off of Forsyth Park, but quiet and relaxing. The historic district is just a short walk away, and some of the most famous sites in Savannah (Forsyth Park fountain, Mercer Williams House) are only a few blocks away. Leslie and Sonia were nice and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. We're going back!

My wife and I recently had a wedding to attend in Savannah and decided to go to a Bed and Breakfast for the two nights we would be there instead of getting a room at the Hilton, which most of the other guests were doing. We don't regret our decision for a second. The moment we set foot in the Catherine Ward House, the staff was so friendly and helpful. They instantly made you feel like you were a part of their family and treated you as such. My wife and I stayed in the Hibernian Room, which is the smallest room at the Inn and is located in the carriage house, but also has a nice covered porch. The room had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, a mini fridge for some water and Cokes (which were provided complimentary!), and small walk in shower in the bathroom. We were given the choice between an 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM breakfast and it was amazing. Leslie, the owner, made a delicious spinach, mushroom, and cheese omelette the first morning, along with a blueberry and oat pastry, potatoes, and fresh fruit. The second morning, it was an orange praline french toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit. Absolutely delicious, and again the whole staff was so friendly and we had some great breakfast conversation. The location is very close to Forsyth Park and is walking distance to most anything, but Leslie is glad to call you a cab if you need transportation. Overall, our stay was amazing and we are already planning on staying there again for our next trip to Savannah.

I can't even begin to say how great our stay was at the Catherine ward house. It's a short walk to all of the sights! The room was amazing and very private. The morning breakfast was also great. Would stay here again or recommend it to others in a heart beat!

My wife and I were only able to stay for one night, so we opted for something a little more intimate than a local hotel. The Catherine Ward House made for an incredible first B&B experience for us. We stayed in the Sea Trade room and really enjoyed the large bathroom, fireplace, and king-size bed. The pictures on the website don't do the room justice. Breakfast was amazing, and Leslie was full of great tips to make our abbreviated trip an enjoyable one. We WILL be staying here again!

Room Tip: I can't speak for the main house, but rooms in the carraige house are extremely quiet.

My husband went to Savannah for the first time to celebrate our anniversary this past November and decided to stay in a B&B rather than a hotel. We had never done a B&B, but thought that it would be fun in such a quaint town. WE LOVED IT. The entire experience was amazing. The room was so nice, the breakfasts were delicious, everything was clean and tidy, and the other guests were friendly. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful to point us in the right direction for tours and sightseeing. It was a much more personal experience to stay at the Catherine Ward Inn but you still had privacy. The rates were fair, we were even upgraded. We also loved the location of the B&B across from the park. We would stay here again for sure.
