When you first drive up to the Catherine Ward House, you might take it for granted. This until you walk up the steps and are greated by warmness and charm you would expect in the South. From the warm fire burning in the living room, the seasonal decor, tastefully simple, the chocolate truffles - the cooking going on in the kitchen....we felt at home....My room, the "Garden Room" was small and simple. The bedding, Pine Cone Hill, was soft and comfy and the room was very clean and quiet. If you want a taste of simplicity and elegance try the Catherine Ward House.

The entire experience of staying with Leslie, Laverne and Jasmine at the Catherine Ward House was wonderful - the house is beautiful inside and out, the rooms are immaculately clean and well appointed with upmarket linens, and breakfast was delicious and well timed to start the day. The Inn is well situated in a quiet neighborhood, only one block from a large beautiful park, and only a 20 minute walk to the riverfront, with many interesting historical sites to see along the way, including a wide range of restaurant choices.

My boyfriend and I were here for his birthday getaway. This was our first experience in a b&b. I was hoping for something for homey and not so run-of-the-mill. Our stay was everything I'd hoped for and more.

We were so sad to leave our lovely room (we stayed in Jessica's room). First off, the bed was incredibly comfortable with fresh, soft sheets. We slept better than we do at home! The room was very clean and got lots of of sunlight in the daytime, which I loved. There were even fresh flowers in the room when we arrived - lovely touch. Then there's the breakfast, which is also incredible. We always started off with fresh fruit, followed by a yummy hot breakfast. We had ricotta blintzes with a berry sauce and bacon on the first day. The next day, we had eggs, ham, breakfast potatoes, and the best blueberry coffee cake I'd ever had in my life (thanks for the recipe, Leslie!). Leslie was so inviting and fun to talk to that we can't imagine staying anywhere else for our future visits to Savannah.

With love,
Maple, Park, and Buddy (the pooch)

My husband and I stayed three nights with Leslie and her staff and could not have been more pleased with our experience. We were delayed arriving by several hours into the evening and we were greeted warmly. The house was beautiful and we were surprised to be offered an upgraded room which was way beyond our expectations. The location near Forsythe Park was perfect for us as we were able to park our car at the house and walk to everything for the entire stay. Leslie gave us good suggestions of places to visit and sent us on our way each morning with a tasty and filling breakfast. We would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Had a wonderful five-day stay here! Leslie was a very gracious host and served lovely delicious breakfasts. We stayed in Jessica's Room which has its own private entrance and porch and was very comfortable. The inn is located on the southern end of the Savannah Historic District so if you don't have a car, be prepared to do some walking. Since that's what we came to Savannah to do, it was perfect, especially strolling through lovely Forsyth Park which was only a block or so away. Hope to visit again soon!

We highly recommend staying at the Catherine Ward House! The staff was lovely and charming, as were the beautifully furnished rooms. It was an authentic experience. Located on a quiet street, in a perfect location right off the historic district, but within walking distance of everything you'll want to see. The rooms were simply yet elegantly decorated and very clean. The patio was serene. The complimentary breakfast every morning was a delight: beautifully served and delicious. During our stay in Savannah we passed by other inns that we had looked into and each time agreed we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. If we ever go back, we will stay here again.
