A beautiful property. We stayed in the Cosmopolitan Room/suite which was very attractive and comfortable. Notably, Leslie’s dining advice and attraction recommendations were spot on and when we said we wanted to go to the coast her advice to take in Beaufort SC resulted in a perfect day. Breakfasts were delicious with Leslie consulting us on her planned menu and the time we wanted to take breakfast. The house is located two thirds of the way down Forsyth Park and so Bay Street is about a mile away. Walking back at night from the centre of Savannah was a little disconcerting however to see heads peeping out of a passing hearse ghost tour literally raised spirits.

We stayed for our 5th anniversary! It was great and the staff was fantastic!! The place looked just like the pictures. We were welcomed right away and showed to our room. Then we were given a tour and asked what we wanted to see while visiting. The staff was so helpful with many brochures and menus of area restaurants. We stayed in the Jessica Room with our dog, a small Bichon Frise. We had a little porch and a wonderful (empty lot/ Dog park) next door which was so convenient to take her to the bathroom. The Big park is only about a block away. Breakfast was amazing and they are very hospitable and flexible with the breakfast times too!! The couple that was signed up to eat with us showed up about 45min late and they still served them. Which surprised me as I thought it was rude and if it was my place I am not sure I would have. But good for them for being so flexible. The private porch was great that came with our room. We had our own entrance so we did not feel that we would wake anyone with our late nights. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine out there one night with a super thunderstorm. They even provide a mini refrigerator and wine glasses on request. The only thing that was missing (Don't get me wrong it was minor) is rocking chairs. They have really nice chairs I just prefer more southern style. So even though this place is at the far end of the historical district, it is a $6 dollar cab ride or half hour walk to the center of town at River St. and you get to go through the entire historic district on the way.

Now on to the city...Savannah was a very dog friendly city for us. We were able to take our small dog to many outdoor restaurants and even a carriage ride ( you can also bring your own wine on) We took a non private tour but it felt private in its own way and it was only $20 each. Savannah has a open cup policy as long as it is in plastic you can take it on the streets. It was very hot in August I think next time I would go in the spring or fall. It is a great walking city with great culture. We took a haunted pub crawl.. I loved it we met lots of people and went to bars that we would not normally go to and they were amazing. The scary part was harder to pay attention to once we drank a little too much. Oh yeah did I mention it is a dog friendly drinking city. Will be back for sure....

My wife and I arrived on Sunday afternoon and were promptly met by the charming Leslie who runs the B&B and her helper Liz. We were shown our room and made to feel like it would be our home during our 5 day stay. We were asked if we had any foods we were allergic to or did not like and what time would we like our breakfast. Breakfast was a nice meal as though served at a fine restaurant at a breakfast table with fine china in an elegant victorian home. Everyone at the B&B went out of their way to be helpful ranging from making sure we had water for our hot weather trips around town to booking tours to arranging for a pedi bike to come pick us up for a trip down to the market or waterfront. We will surely go back to this B&B for the next visit to Savannah.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the owner could not have been more helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic and the location was within short driving distance to two fabulous restaurants. Owner arranged discounted tickets for a tour bus and a free pickup to bring us to the departure point. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!!

We arrived on Saturday and decided to extend our stay by one day and Leslie was so accomodatingand we were so happy that we were able to stay another night. Our room was the Hibernian Room which was quite comfortable and lovely. The fresh flowers, the luxurious bedding, and the mini fridge with pop and water, were all the extra little touches that are unexpected, but make the you feel special.

It was dreadfully hot in Savannah, not suprising at the end of (July), so it was a welcome relief to come back to our little oasis to refresh ourselves.

We plan to come back next spring and stay for a few days at The Catherine Ward House again. The location is right near Forsythe Park a good walk from downtown but not far on a nice day.

BTW the breakfasts were scrumptious and Leslie offered to make ours an hour early on the day we were leaving.

Our recent stay at the Catherine Ward House Inn was wonderful from beginning to end. Leslie (owner) and Toraye (housekeeper) were attentive and friendly. Our room exceeded our expectations; if fact it was so comfortable that we often found ourselves lounging in our room or on our deck rather than touring the city. We would highly recommend this wonderful inn to anyone wanting the perfect place to stay in Savannah.

We just returned from a whirlwind road trip from NJ to West Palm Beach with a two night stay en route at the Catherine Ward House Inn in Savannah. After a 12+ hour drive we arrived at the Catherine Ward House and were welcomed by the owner, a very gracious and helpful woman. We stayed in the Continental Room, a wonderfully appointed, tastefully decorated, large room with a comfy king-sized bed, lots of fluffy pillows, flat screen TV, beautiful two-person shower crafted from natural stone and materials, mini-bar area with fridge and wonderfully cool air conditioning. Oversized, thick towels and robes contributed to the spa-like feel. With an entrance separate from the house and its own deck, we loved the feeling of being apart, yet connected to the main house. Breakfast on both days was delicious - fresh fruit, eggs, french toast with bacon on one day and an egg casserole with sides of potatoes and bacon the next, juice and coffee. Our hostess was helpful in pointing out local attractions and restaurants. We liked the location of the Inn - at the edge of the historic district, but within walking distance of everything that we wanted to see. It was very quiet at night. The walks back through the parks at night were almost eerily quiet, but beautiful. We had a wonderful stay at the Catherine Ward House Inn and Savannah and would love to return to both someday!
